Ramsey - too much?

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
As people say it goes with the game and these things happen. But what I think is on Wengers mind is the fact he may never play again, in fact depending on the severity of the injury he may not walk properly again, but that is not likely to be the case and he will be back playing in the next year or so.

That might have been the case 10 years ago, but with advances in medicine he'll be back playing by the end of this year.

Remember not too long ago a cruciate ligament injury meant game over, now you have guys managing to keep at the top level after suffering two or three of them.

The incident on Saturday was a 50/50 ball which quite easily could have ended up with Shawcross in Ramsey's state.
I remember being on the Stretford End when Busst of Coventry broke his leg in that 50/50 challenge with Denis Irwin, they had to bring a couple of buckets of water on to the pitch to wash the blood away....not nice.

On the same subject I do think tackles are being phased out of football. Watch any of the European ref's next week in the Champions league and challenges which are acceptable in this country are pulled up in Europe.

PS Dig out film of any Leeds United v Chelsea matches from the 70's. Now that is X-rated viewing!!

Unless the Britannia stadium has increased in size 5 yards off the pitch is either in the tunnel or in the crowd?

You are kidding aren't you! You bring the fecking touchline in 6 yards so Delap can have a bigger run up for his laser guided throw-ins. :PDT_Xtremez_42:
