Any ideas on the number of stackers going for it in this tranche? I've only heard a couple of names, wonder if they will be going compulsory this time....

Is it next month they send the letters out, or you get pulled into the bosses office? Luckily won't effect me, wonder what the next tranche will bring.

Roll on my 22yr paperwork before its too late!:PDT_Xtremez_42:

I've heard that for the snecks not many have applied and nearly all those that have are outside the criteria. The TS has said for them to apply anyway, so even if you don't meet the requirements I'd apply. Up to 18 at our rank.

The results are announced 1 Sep, along with the 2nd tranche

The less that apply the better for me, there is a differences of about 30k between redundancy and putting my notice in and getting my pension.

The desk still seem to be set on sending me on a OOA before I leave either way.

What worries me, beyond the general discussions, is that very very good people will receive compulsory redundancy letters on 1 Sep 11 (Saturday!) and weren't necessarily expecting them. A very tough situation. I'm also concerned about where are we going to replace the people to do the work that is still there. These are tough times and the attitude towards us that...if we don't like it then PVR is exactly what the CHQ people want. Hang on in there if you want to stay in cos it ain't getting any better.

As one of those in the window to be made redundant- and due to go down south shortly after the letters come out- I can only hope that those that want to leave get their wish. By my rough reckoning about 70ish Sgts are in the window so its close to 1 in 3 that will be leaving - anybody brought a lottery ticket recently!

However I do wonder by how much our OOA turnaround will come down by! 'Apparently' our turn around time is currently 20-24 months but with OP ELLAMY now an OOA it will only come down and with 18 more leaving how long until we catch up with the Cpls at 14months!

Troubling times for all I guess!

The easiest and in my opinion the best way to keep OOA turn round times the same are to get rid of the sickies. Will it happen? NO.
We'll keep on picking up their OOA 's and duties while their picking up the easy wages for working Monday - Friday.
With this in mind I hope anyone who has volunteered is successful with their application.

I asked the Cfk Clerk at Halton the number of personnel in the bracket and he said it was 152, so not too bad. I also know the TS is allowing personel outside the bracket to apply too. There is also a briefing note circulating that lists the criteria.

As for OOA, where I am at the momnet they have just assessed what posts can be carried out by those downgraded and there are a few. So, start packing yer bags, sickies!

If this goes through happy days but I am surprised to see the bracket is so big giving the size of recent promotion boards and those due to leave but if they are the figures i'm happy! But what will thy want next time!

I fully support the trade sponsor and her efforts but fear the medics will become "risk adverse" and block these good intentions!

Either that, or those lazy B*st*rds will think of another excuse no to go OOA. At the minute I haven't met senior who has not been able to deploy. If our OOA turnround is going down with the possible OP Ellamy thing, I would like to know where all these sickies are hiding. Coz they won't be hiding for very long if I find out, I'd name and shame them.

Not yet but any one want to give me names, crack on. I'll name and shame em.:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Really? How mature & professional of you.

I suppose you'll have access to all their medical records so you know which ones are faking it & which ones are genuinely injured?

Enjoy your lemons!

We all know who is real and who is swinging the lead, yes it may be imature and un-professional. When you have never been on an OOA at your set date and always getting called to go early(and over Xmas funny old thing) it gets a bit thin on the ground.

So call me imature and unprofessional, but I have never not gone on an OOA nor gave any reason's why I couldn't. Unlike the people who do cry off as they have a twisted sock, and wify will divorce them if they go over XMAS.:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Fcuking hell you've got bigger balls than me. What secret location do you serve at??

RB,

I would name and shame them but, I'm sure as a MOD you would have to take some action from letting me do that, if it were on here.

P.S if you PM I might tell you where I am.
