RN Merlin down

It's not RAF but RN but still a fellow service person meeting a premature end. Sadly it is reported that there has been a fatality following a Merlin helicopter crashing whilst on training exercise in the Channel. The two other crew members were rescued.

The incident involved a Merlin Mk4 helicopter that ditched into the sea while conducting night flying exercises with HMS Queen Elizabeth near Dorset.

I work in a tri-service environment and, despite all the inter-service banter, we are all brothers and sisters in arms.
