Roy Keane walks away

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
What a chance for Phil though, to join a big club like SAFC. He's from S/land and supported them as a kid. I reckon he will stay loyal to Hull though. Although you never know........

To the OP, calling Roy Keane the Mackem Messiah? I think not. For the last 2 and a half years Keane was never the most important man at our club, it has been another Irishman by the name of Niall Quinn. He's the man that loves Sunderland, and the feeling is mutual as there's not a soul on Wearside that dislikes him. He's done wonders for our club, I don't want to take anything away from Keane, as we'd never be where we are without him, but ultimately Quinn is responsible for the rebuilding of Sunderland AFC.

Thanks for the memories, Roy. But now it's time to move onwards (and upwards).

I din't think big sam will want that job! Ruud Gullit is looking for work though.... he's great. At least he'll how know how important a tyne wear derby game is down there now?

He can leave out all the best players and put out a crap team... he might even buy Shola Ameobi off the toon.

how about big Sam coming and having a point to prove to the toon army then !

What that he can only be successfull at a club where the fans won't mind watching centre halves hoofing a ball up the pitch in vain hope of creating something for 90 mins? The Mackems seemed happy watching that kind of football under Monkey's Heed so he might be a good option for them. Although his fascination with buying cheap african players might alienate certain sections of their support.

Sounds like teh perfect job for Lee Clarke.....
Lets see if he can get sacked by Scumderland as a player and as a manager.

Am I the only one who thinks that Keane is not the hard man he makes ourt to be but a cowardly brat:PDT_Xtremez_09: Lets face it when he was at Utd and thing were going great he looked a good player, but lets face it in a top class side thats not hard. When things were not going their way he was just a thug, there is a difference between hard and fair or just plain dirty, and Keane was the latter. After finishing Haaland's career and then gloating about it in his book FIFA should have banned him from any sort of position within the game. Then as captain of his national side at the world cup he has a hissy fit because things aren't going his way. Does he do what the forces do? make the best of whats available, man up make do and mend? no he runs off home leaving his team in the lurch and with a vile tirade against the national manager, (who is doing alright at club level) When the going gets tough Keane fcuks off thats all there is to it the man is a ****** and a fcuking cnut, hope he has left football for good
