RoyalTournament.org Survey

RoyalTournament.org Survey

The RoyalTournament.org website is part of a project to keep alive the traditions of the Royal Tournament which was the first, oldest and biggest Military Tattoo in the World until its demise in 1999.

We are now conducting an independent survey to gauge the opinions of the general public on the Royal Tournament. The results of the survey will be published on the RoyalTournament.org website later this year.

We will also forward the results to the authors of the MOD Report of the Inquiry into: National Recognition of our Armed Forces (Published May 2008).

Please help us to promote the survey by forwarding the link to your friends, family, colleagues and anyone else that remembers the Royal Tournament.

Follow the link to take the survey: RoyalTournament.org Survey

I visited Birmingham Military Tattoo over the weekend and whilst the bands on display were fantastic, and my congratulations go to RAF Cosford Field Gun Team it didn't quite meet the occasion the Royal Tournament was at Earls Court almost a decade ago!! I worked the very last Tournament and my feeling is it really should be brought back sooner rather than later. With the forces being so high profile for the saddest of reasons right now lets show the pride the majority of personnel still have in serving. Surely it would benefit recruiting too?

Well what do you know?!:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...d-forces-to-be-revived-after-11-year-gap.html

Although a lot shorter:

The Royal Tournament used to run over three weeks in the summer, although it was later restricted to a fortnight. The revived event will take place over just two days on 4th and 5th of December, with two shows on each day.]

And won't be cheap if you're taking the whole family:

The event is costing £1 million to organise and if the charity sell out all 55,520 tickets – from £22 for children and £29 for adults – for the four shows, they hope to make a profit of between £200,000 and £300,000.
