Yes I got it:) finally. Over the moon.

And boys. It's not going over your WOs head at all any WO worth his weight would understand you's going to the chf Clk for the info. Well I think they would. Perhaps BJW will give us his take on it. Remember as a WO they have been there themselves so understand that you would want to know. It doesn't matter what rank you are if your waiting to hear then it's a long old wait if the person who finds out for you isn't there. Also don't you guys also have a FS or Sgt in your manning or admin? I'm sure your WOs would have been happy for them to call the chf Clk on your behalf.
 
Congratulations RAF Bird......have to get back in touch with my old place of work and see if any of "my" lot finally got it as well.

Congratulations RAF Bird, and any others on here who have been successful. I would have no problem at all with my guys going straight to the Chf Clk if I was away, I don't think any of the other trade WOs would either. In the past I have cancelled leave so I could be sure of being around when the results were due however, this board seems to have finished earlier than expected so it may have caught a few out. Had I not got an email from the desk on Thursday on a related subject I wasn't planning on calling the Chf Clk until Monday at the earliest.
 
Well done to all those selected, those who know now and those who are still to find out. The announcement does seem to have caught a few on the hop, not least here as by the time the 2IC had got the list on Friday most people had disappeared for the weekend. In the interest of fairness it was decided to wait until Monday so that those who were selected could be informed by the OC personally - which is only right and proper - and I would hope nobody finds out second-hand from a mate of a mate etc (as has happened to me in the past but ce la vie). There are bound to be a few tears and tantrums, as there always are, but I do wish everbody selected the best of luck - just don't hold your breath for a JMLC cse until the backlog is cleared.

Lots of good guys at every unit mate. Only 1 got it last year from Conz and so 3 isn't too bad for your unit when you consider how many SAC's there are and how many unit they are posted between. What you also have to remember is how many SAC's have been posted out of there after their last assessment and have been picked up on this board? I know of at least 1..... but then there is also at least 1 of the 3 there that received his last assessment at a secret Typhoon base. It doesn't really matter where they are posted to mate... the quota they are promoting is how many they want and they dont give an allowance for each unit.

Yep, after 9 long years i finally got it, my number was in the 20's, but hey. Not too sure when i will get it due to where i now am, just got to wait for a slot to appear!:PDT_Xtremez_30:
 
thought they had already cut it from 90 to reflect the SDSR, i have been told that the cuts weren't as severe as expected so you should be fine also might rise a small amount!:S
 
i wouldn't hold your breath for a definative answer i phoned the unit career advisor and got told to phone back around feb time! i am in the 40+ :PDT_Xtremez_09:

I'm in the mid to late 20's, because of where i am i will have to wait until June/July next year (ish, maybe sooner) for a slot to come up, oh well, all good things and that.:PDT_Xtremez_14:
