I'm going to add something into this discussion :PDT_Xtremez_42: .

I rang the Desk last week or the week before asking for details about the Board, fully aware it had ratified. We began discussing the reduction on SAC-Cpl numbers as we had been led to believe it would be a substantial amount.

I asked whether or not the current manning levels had been a factor (85%) in the reduction of promotion slots and was told that this was a major factor; (this is nothing new, I know).

I'm then told that the current manning levels would be sorted by late next year as they were reducing the trade deficit by 170 slots, therefore bringing the Trade back to 100% manning!!! :PDT_Xtremez_09:

It was also remarked that future promotion on TG18 would be scarce for the next few years until the Trade is back on track; are we going backwards and whats being done to correct this?

In my opinion it looks bleak for TG18. We cant keep the SACs', we cant promote them....what can we do???? :PDT_Xtremez_21:
 
New to the site so sorry if cock it up.....But reading what you all put about the latest board and got me thinking,, Does anyone actually know what is going on I was told three weeks ago my position on the board and since then not a dickie. Any help would be good

I recommend you ask your Sqn WO to drop your name into the conversation next time he contacts the desk, that way you are not pestering them and he will get to the bottom of what is really happening? If you do find anything of interest, maybe you could share it with others on here so everyone will have a clear picture of what, if anything, is going on…

Anyway, just a thought…
