Speaking as an Ex LSTS Instructor, I can see how from the outside as a student, you may think that the balance of Instcrutors is wrong.
I would agree. I do think that Sgts and FS should be established to teach the TMT 1 and 2, leaving the Cpls to cover the Phase 2 and pure Logistics courses.
There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that students are not privvy to.
The problem is that it takes time to become an Instructor. It is not easy standing infront oe people who dont really want to be there, then try and deliver a quality learning outcome!
The extra 7 Cpls that were posted in were identifed to reflect a planned influx of Logs (Supply) AC's (226) but in reality, those numbers never materialised - We all knew this would be the case but who listens to the Instructors? Who would of thought it - Why join as a Logs (Supply) when you can join as a Logs (Driver) and be on the high pay band!
