Yeah why not, I know they aren't Bank Holidays but we have to suffer St Paddys day and Burns Night etc etc.
The Rep of Ireland has a handily placed day off in late Oct...anyone know the reason?

Apparently the Irish have a holiday on the last Monday in October each year and is to do with Hallowe'en.
