So what is this thread all about then you twit?
None of the other nations in the UK have bank holidays on thier St whatever days so what makes you lot so ferkin different then?

Perhaps you want to march down your high street shouting "anyone who is not English get out".
he he he! GT I'm dissappointed in you, that was too easy.

We don't need St George's day as a bak holiday, it's too close to May day. However I would like to offer burns night as a suitable break between New year and May day ! :PDT_Xtremez_28:

Why don't they just have the first Monday of each month as a bank holiday?
Suits me.........

Just a thought, but what about Easter?

Might offend the Muslim's :PDT_Xtremez_35:

How very wrong!

Although not explicitly celebrated, Easter is part of Islamic history. Muslims commemorate Good Friday, in a way, because the sermon at the Friday prayers is usually dedicated to the Prophet Jesus.

What are you, some kind of Jihad sleeper agent ? :PDT_Xtremez_15:

No, just somebody who knows what to research before I type it :PDT_Xtremez_15:

I typed that into a translator page and it came back
"smart ar$e" whatever did it mean ? :PDT_Xtremez_31:

How about somewhere in October, there's a huge block between August bank holiday and Christmas ?
That's gotta be ripe for a bank Holiday

May the morris men of England fill your Anglo saxon hearts with joy. Happy St Georges day.
If you are Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Polish, Russian, German, French or any other Feckin immigrant please ignore this post.

St. George was born in the Lebanon,
Brittannia speaks Latin at home,
And the three lions on the shirt,

Never sprang from England's dirt

That's to all things ''English''

I've got to say that I saw something I have never seen before in my home town. Normally on Saint Georges we get maybe the odd England flag flying. Today when coming home on the bus the whole town centre was full of the flags. :PDT_Xtremez_03:

I don't know if it's something against many 'troublesome' middle east who are migrating to my area or what, but I liked it a lot. It's about time for people to have taken up St Georges day like they have here. :PDT_Xtremez_30:
