I don't really care, I turned mine down last year, then had my contiuance taken off me this year oh and yes ive just got a job earning 48k a year tax free.
Mmmm where would I rather be now, in the RAF working for numbskull Flt-cdrs who haven't a bloody clue or a 48k a year civvy.

Just heard from a very good source that they are at number 20, good friend of mine is sat at 22 so I have my fingers crossed for him!

As the 2011 board has sat and the names are now known, it was disappointing to find out that certain camps knew before the official release. It seems that if your Sqn WO is mates with the desk then the info can be gained early. Where the others have to wait till the official line through the Chf Clerks. This system was put in place by the Adminers yet they choose to ignore if it suits. With this and some names of those made redundant, there appears to be a trend for leaking information.

I take you are a bit p*ssed off then.
It's nothing to do with Sqn WO's being 'mates' with anyone. Any sqn WO can find out as soon as the board has finished subject to it being ratified simply by ringing the desk. If your WO wont find out then it's because he wont rather than cant.
Sorry RB but I think you will find out that a policy was put in place that all information re promotion boards etc would be released onto the HR website for hf Clerks to access. This would then be fed down to Sqn WOs. I am certainly not going to say that Sqn WO should not find out first and I dont blame them. BUT the powers that be wanted the new system to be used rather than all 26 Sqn WOs ringing up.

Your probably very right but seriously when difference does a nights sleep make?? From what I remembered from the SAC-Cpl board we found out one day and it was ratified and on the HR website the next. Aside from that you heard of any names that have come off the board?
Prior to APOLLO & ZEUS I would always call the desk a couple of days after the board and they would always happily give me the results; since APOLLO & ZEUS came in we are directed to go through the Chf Clk and I do try to keep to this. However, doing this is dependant upon the Chf Clk either answering his phone or replying to emails so, if I have an individual who I know will feature strongly I will circumvent the system.
What I will not do though is advise anyone of their position prior to formal ratification, too much can influence the final decision and only causes unnecessary angst.

Sorry BJW you are quite correct about that figure. I was purely putting across that there could be 26 that ring up for information. Obviously not all these need to be MOB Sqn WOs.
But my figure might prove to be not far from the total WOs in the near future

Work on a total of 36 by 2014 and you won't be far wrong
