SUPA and AFPS

Every year we can write to DBS to get a pension forecast. One of the questions is ‘have you had SUPA in the last three years?’ (or words to that effect).

Question: is SUPA taken into account for AFPS05/15?

Yes. For AFPS 05, Final Pensionable Salary takes into account pensionable pay during the last 3 years. For AFPS 15, 1/47 of pensionable pay is accrued for pension each year.

Yes. For AFPS 05/15 it is as it constitutes pensionable pay. For AFPS 75, it wouldn't count as AFPS pensions are based on pension codes, which give a flat rate for each rank with possible uplifts of acting rank if it has been over a year's duration.
