Well done Stoke, oat cakes all round. Artisans against millionaires in the final.

The frustrating thing, is one semi got prime time terrestrial tv coverage and the other (better semi) was only broadcast on ESPN:PDT_Xtremez_25:

Well 20:20 hindsight now tells us that the second semi was the better one, and ESPN had it because they'd paid for the rights. Thats the way these things are going nowadays, rights to sporting events bought up by all and sundry who then go on to dictate the start time and day. 1pm Saturday, 3pm Saturday, 5:30 pm Saturday, 6pm Saturday, 12:30pm Sunday, 1pm Sunday, 1:15pm Sunday, 2pm Sunday, 3pm Sunday, 4pm Sunday, 5:15pm Sunday and 8pm Monday, all times dictated by the various TV companies for start times of League and FA cup games over the past few seasons. Fine for the armchair fan, but a pain in the arris for match goers.
Still, it could be worse, you could be an avid Welsh golf fanatic who, having run out of utility, delivery and telecoms companies to have a fight with, decided Sky were taking p1ss over some matter or other and cancelled his subscription only to find they now had exclusive rights to live Ryder Cup and and other major competitions :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Good point well made. Sky had to be spiteful by scheduling arsenal v Liverpool at the same time. I follow rugby league as well as football and the last 2 weeks have seen hull kr v Leeds at the same time as the grand national and Salford (not far from old Trafford) v Bradford at the same time as the utd v city match. Guess what not many at salford. Why do these people schedule these matches to hack people off.

I am a season ticket holder at Derby, I know serves me right. But TV has cost me an away trip to QPR, we had everything boxed off ready to go when up pop sky and televise the game. S now I still get to watch the game but not eat the pie because my Mrs is working and I can't get there in tie after she finishes.

I''m glad in a way we are sh1t at least most of our games are a Saturday 3pm KO.

I know how you feel about sky. I have half shares in a Liverpool season ticket plus a 5 year season ticket for St Helens Rlfc. I plan my shifts around the home games but I know for a fact in the last few weeks of the rugby league season the matches will be swapped at the last minute and I'll be looking fir a shift swap. I think I've had one Saturday match at anfield this season on the games I get with the ticket. The majority have been Sunday or midweek or monday night. The Newcastle match is a 12 o'clock kick off on a Sunday. What's that all about

Well I suppose I'll be cheering on Stoke now :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Until the Pulis regime I would have agreed but I don't want to see that shower of sh1t win anything.

I hope the cnut gets the sack and the next manager reverts to playing football rather than kick boxing.

Most of your posts I agree with, or at least sympathise with. On this occasion, however, I must disagree. Even the commentators stated that Stoke had played well and to score 5 goals in a FA Cup Semi-Final was extraordinary. Yes, Stoke are a physical side, but this is within the rules.

Answer this: which, on reflection, was the most entertaining semi? (excluding scholes being red carded).

Sometimes Gem you really do post some utter sh1te I suppose the fact they scored 5 goals in open play is not good enough even though the top 4 teams in the country could only manage 3 between them and two were penalties.

They have managed to survive in the Premier league and just because their style of play is more physical you arecalling them sh1t. I am sure Derby County put a Brazil like performance in every week!!!

We may not be the most entertaining teams to watch but calling them a shower of sh1t is a bit wide of the mark especially for a team who are in the FA Cup final.

We have worked hard and played hard to get there and its always amusing to hear the grumbles and gripes of those less fortunate and also those who support the likes of Man U etc who automatically think its their god given right to be there.

Both teams have worked hard and both deserve to be there the fact that derby couldnt win a raffle obviously fuels your bitterness and jealousy:PDT_Xtremez_30:

They are absolute masters of the body check, foot left in, shirt pull, whinge and 2 footed tackle. A filthy shower of sh1t who do not deserve to be in the final. Pulis is a horrible excuse of a man who has ruined the reputation of Stoke City, a club who always used to be respected for trying to play football properly. Now the only thing they are respected for is the pie at half time because in footballing terms they are the dirtiest bast@rds ever to set foot on a pitch since the Revie Leeds team kicked their way to the top..

I see a repeat of the liverpool v Wimbledon cup final this year Stoke/Wimbledon will pull off a shock 1-0 win.

We go back to the fact that there are nine dirtier teams in the Premiership but obviously they dont count. Gem we will have to disagree on this one, whilst I will admit that Stoke are a physical side they are in no way as bad as some fellow premiership sides and are not in same league as the Millwalls, Leeds, Wimbledon teams.

Obviously Scholes' tackle and sending off was an accident and a great advert for the game. On the other hand Stokes 5 goals including a couple of 20 yarders and no sendings off is to the detriment of the game. Wont bother to say it again Gem you are way off the mark and need to stay off the funny pills. You shout about dirtiest sides yet we arent ...fact and yet have not said one bad word against a team whose player was sent off for an horrendous INTENTIONAL tackle that left a fellow player with puncture wounds. And before you sound off about the Shawcross incident that was, as was said at the time the result of a badly timed tackle and was totally unintentional, the lad was physically upset unlike Scholes who marched off the pitch like the arrogant ginger t0sser he is.

I'm no Manure fan and they have the odd really dirty player and always have had in their team along with some of the worst divers I've ever seen, if truth be known, but Stoke's current side is populated by second rate thugs trained in the dark arts. I am convinced that the cnut that is Tony Pulis holds classes in cheating, obstructing, shirt pulling, body checking and 2 footed tackling. If you actually attended games rather than wallowing in Pulis's temporary success you would see just what an obnoxious bunch of tw@ts he has playing for him. I was around when Leeds had Revie at the helm and the current Stoke squad are far worse than that Leeds team ever were, at least Bremner, Lorimer clarke Giles Hunter etc had some talent.More than Huth, Shawcross , Higginbotham etc ever will have.

It is a pity that a good club like Stoke continues to employ Pulis and his tactiics. I realise small clubs struggle in the Prem because they cannot afford the skill that the big half a dozen teams bring but it can be done look at Everton for example. Pulis's methods bring the game into disrepute and I believe he should be hounded out of the game altogether.
