I've heard from a fairly reliable source that all CIS Tech rank slides are to be changed, to reflect the difference between at ex TG3 and an assimilated TG11.

So people know if they are talking to an ex tech, or an ex operator - the 'ring of confidence' will be placed around the Cpl & Sgt rank slides!! Apparently they haven't decided whether the FS tabs need to be changed, but if you read the latest PMB, they stipulate "must be ex TG3" for quite a few of the posts, so it could be on the cards for everybody.

First off apologies im off thread being a humble ex TCO

This has to be a load of bollox hasnt it because its easier to tell the difference between ex TG3 and TG11, one will tell you your computer is knackered whilst holding a screwdriver and the other will tell you your computer is knackered by signal or over the phone. lol

Where did you here this little gem??

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I'm confused! So what happens to the minority of every rank that was a CIS Tech, with obvious techie background who has had to re-fluster to IM to get promotion?! Will they get half a circle?!:PDT_Xtremez_41: I think this is one of those random rumours like the "claim your money back for laundry of your service kit", think you may be as gullible as me (for a split second!) when my FS said that Innsworth were busy because the Navy drafters had just been put there! :PDT_Xtremez_31:

Silly B@st@rd!

That is not a rumour, I've know about it for years, I just never knew how to claim it (until my captain on my join service team walked in with paperwork required to apply for it). The Army has ordered their guys to stop putting in applications as the Inland Revenue has complained about the number of applications for it coming in bulk. Civilians are initialled to claim as well for employers issued uniform like for those working in shops or the NHS. It’s the law of the Land, not some armed forces regulation and I think somebody could be sued because of it, as I know one service man who as been given the dosh back this year.

I'm guessing you've done it yourself then.....

Anyway, back on topic. Those rings will probably be looked upon as stigmata, they don't really want techs anymore hence giving all our good jobs to the IMs. Allegedly, the trade sponsor has already admitted that most current TG11 guys don't have the skillsets to be full IMs which is why they want CIS Techs to remuster rather than pull the big yellow and black handle to heaven.

So either remuster, get out or look like a cnut with the old ringpiece (real name) on yer rank slides......

It's probably no more than a rumour but it wouldn't surprise me.

Furthermore, I will be swallowing the big pill with "pride" written on it and grabbing my tapes as an Ignorant Moron (from CIS Tech) as the pay rise is too much to resist! Off Topic Suppose that's what you get for being a GRMS bloke and getting overlooked for your technical experience and knowledge, for colleagues who bum-sniff (and get biccy's/beer for doing the job they get paid for) and get inflated 6000's, I seem to remember one person getting High Rec for their 1st (not a typo) report! Farce!

Do we need a ringpiece to show we are ex-TG3?

Surely just the fact that we aren't wearing stable belts and clippy cloppy shoes will do the trick.:PDT_Xtremez_15:

Dont forget wearing you SD cap without your No 1's and a nice big bra crease all the way across the back of your shirt thats there to "look smart" it a Bra crease FFS you like a dikc! And you can also throw in wearing a long sleeve shirt and tie in the middle of summer TW@T!. Thats how you csn tell us apart already nes pa?

Unfortunately Collie, there are TG3 people who wear that Sh!te, almost all of them are ex TC's.

Oh! Take that back I tells ya , no ex TC wearing that sh!te here - of course not sure they would make one in my size:PDT_Xtremez_29:

LIES! LIES I tell you!!! :PDT_Xtremez_14:

That's why a ex TC Sgt in charge of a team from Locking at the last but one Royal Tournament made the boys on the team wear Stable Belt's, plus the useless fat ex-TC WRAF I had dumped for me on my last tour also wore one (and they both wore Chip Hats to boot), most definitely a TC thing.

Bet they were just saying they were TCs. It's a glory thing. :PDT_Xtremez_15: What were the WRAF's initials btw??
