That's what I got, but I'm afraid that I had to insert all the details into the search thingy.
I suppose that I COULD have managed to do it cheaper, but I cannot in all honesty complain that it cost a few bucks more on account of me not having the available time and the garage doing it as a bit of an 'emergency' job, and not having the tools. If I'd been where I used to work, it might have been possible.

What sort of car/ alternator is yours ?
I worked out this morning that in order to get my alternator going at full tilt, it takes over 16hp ! (12kW).

The car is a Frontera. Our local access. shop gives 25% off if you take the old one back into them. It then goes for re-manufacturing.
