A committee, a focus group and whatever else is woke today have picked their choice of the best RAF pics of the year. To be fair not a bad selection thought the horse picture seems a bit out of place to me. The hands over the face picture is very thought provoking

Great photos - there is clearly a lot of skill required to take shots like this - something that has completely bypassed me.

Not sure why you need to use woke in the comment though TB.

Why use woke. Because I find it increasingly irritating to live in a world where everything published must be scrutinised, sanitised and sterilised in case some snowflake who forgot to take his man up pill this morning might get a tiny bit upset. A place where an organisation is so scared of upsetting someone, anyone that even the weirdest view point out there must be catered for in case it makes Tarquin feel sad. A place where a spade can’t be called a spade, in case the term makes someone cry. Breaking news it isn’t a manually operated earth moving device, it’s actually is a F*****g spade, and breathe.

General grumpy old bloke moment yes they are good pictures. I was suggesting that maybe, regardless of artisitic merits, some excellent pictures would be excluded if it was thought they may touch on the miriad reasons delicate folk find to get upset about in our 2024 Britain.
