Doing your own cooking at Ballykelly,oh the memories are flooding backOff Topic

Picture the scene, 0230 on a wet October morning at Bessbrook as you are settling into your forth round of toast of the night.

Bzzzzzz, "Gazelle in the well, 5 minutes.."

Is there anymore annoying sound in the world?

The worst sound in Bessbrook is the wee man waking you up at 5am with a delivery of fuel especially when it's mid January and fooking freezing outside and you've got to walk out into it still half asleep and start testing the fuel. OOOh those happy days!:S

No actually I'll change my worst sound to that of the Hamworthy once again failing to start at silly o'clock in the morning on top of G40, because the previous dets have all been feeding the thing Quickstart constantly and its addicted. Rather than warming it up a bit they fed so much that they ran out, which they didn't warn you about when you arrived to take over from them earlier and now that Wessex thats coming in for a refuel is getting bloody close .:PDT_Xtremez_25:

TSW, where the men have big muscles in their right arms.:PDT_Xtremez_31:

xmas time dets etc

Xmas at St Angelo as someone has noted. Now theres a blast from the past.

I spent Xmas, New Year, and my birthday there 90-91 and came home Feb 91.Some good times there.

And good jolies with 655 AAC Lynx up and down Loch Erne.I still remember the day getting buzzed by Spence and Staff Moran.

And Pontin and that Bloody phone every night. All i could hear was "Love you Miss You"Drove me bloody mad.But then again my snoring lol.

I remember covering Withers in Fuel during a pipe change Now that was Funny.

Omagh was good Great food and great Curries courtesy of 655 AAC Crew.

Ballykelly was nice good accomodation. And the chance to have a blast in the Mk10 Fire Tender and the Tac B down the runway.

Bessbrook was ok all i eat was Chinese spring rolls, and watching Will with those wierd sandwiches. No wonder he was ill.

Happy days Jim
