I work alongside West Yorkshire police, they have in the last 10 minutes just had a 999 call from a bloke complaining he was cold because someone had not made his bed properly!! I kid you not!!!!

I suspect that this chap and the bunny ear woman may be suffering from some kind of mental illness requiring treatment, rather sad really. As for the husband/wife double act, they should be fined a couple of grand for time wasting.

On a slightly more serious note maybe if there was a number for non emergency calls ie 888 or something then that number might get some of the idiots. I've several times wanted to report something to the Police but not known how to get hold of them, I'm not stupid enough to dial 999 but obviously a lot of people are, going through direct enquiries and trying to get a number took time and effort to spell the city to some gimp in Bombay.

Just a thought.

A great idea....no wonder it's only available in the Isle of Wight, Cardiff and Sheffield.

Will probably be quashed before it makes the rest of the country....great ideas never seem to last.

I believe there are plans to roll the scheme out nationally. It'll probably be part of the monumental fcuk up that is Regional Control Centres.
