Well done the Hammers for staying up. I look forward to when the Mighty Mackems play you next season.

I feel sorry for Sheffield United but I'm not going to get into the politics about it as I'm sure this wil rage on for a while yet.

.... but I'm not going to get into the politics about it as I'm sure this wil rage on for a while yet.

I wonder if Wigan, in particular Dave Whelan, will pursue their claims as to the unfairness of the Independent Commission specifying a fine, albeit substantial, as opposed to a points deduction? As soon as Charlton learned their fate (relagation) and Fulham secured their place in the Premiership both clubs went a bit quiet in airing their displeasure at West Ham seemingly getting away with it.

West Ham must be the luckiest team in the world - we had a 3 point deduction for being unable to fulfill a fixture due to illness & injuries.

Whatever happened to fairness and consistency?

Dirty Cheating Wist Am !!

Dirty Cheating Wist Am !!

So you managed to stay up by playing an illegal player, signed illegally in breach of most of if not all the Premier Leagues rules but just because you're West Ham they decide to give you a fine smaller than that which you will now receive for staying up. I for one hope the other teams chairmen go through with the proposed legal action against the Premier League and yourselves so justice can prevail. I'm not an anti West Ham fan just afootball fan who would like to see justice, think back to when Middlesboro failed to fulfil a fixture a few years back they broke the rules and got a points deduction, so now in 1 season we have 2 teams breaking rules without a care for the out come, West Ham by so called buying those Argie players but not really as they were owned by a third party, and Birmingham City robbing Derby County of an automatic promotion place by not playing a fixture due to a badly layed pitch at St Andrews and playing it when there 3 injured players were back in the squad. I'm not a p**sed off Sheffield United fan either so lets see how the summer of legal battles go before you celebrate too much....

Well done for beating Man Ure at the Theatre of Dreams though.

Fickle or what

Fickle or what

As a lifelong Hammers fan, I'm allowed to be fickle, but what a result!!!!
So all of a sudden the season is forgotten and now talk will begin of £30,000,000 transfer kitty, push for europe next year and tevez on a permanent transfer. Oh the life of the Hammers Hardcore.

Roll on Aug 11.....enjoy the summer

a date for the diary of all L**ds fans - October 1st

its the 1st round draw for the FA Cup...

your in it !!!

and dont forget, you have the joys of the Johnstones Paint Pot Trophy to look forward to

Don't hold your breath hammers, wait and see, plus your illegal immigrant has stopped taking english lessons so looks like he is running anyway
get down, remember boro's 3 points deduction for a lot less than you have done!!!

It was nice to see everyone leaving Old Trafford with a smile on their faces for once.

Well done the Hammers for staying up, but remember Utd were just having a kick about for next Saturdays fun and games with the 'Special One' (arrogant cnut that he is).

OK I'll take the bait.....

Is that why in the pre match interview Ferguson was saying that he had put as full a strength team out as he could so that those allegations could not be levelled at him? And why he brought Ronaldo, Scholes and Giggs off the bench when his team was trying to go out with a bang?:PDT_Xtremez_15:

Then again - WE DONT CARE!!!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Wonder if West Ham would have been docked points if they had been safe in mid-table?? uuummm .. . . . . ..
Lets get rid of all the small teams out of The Premier League back to where they belong! After all, they dont generate as much money as West Ham do they?
By the way, don't give credit to the teams that have achieved above their aims this season, such as Reading, Bolton etc.
And to Sheff Utd, well done for shooting yourselves in the foot!

:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Yes - that's what they did to us. It was deemed to be the safest punishment.

Unfortunately we went into freefall unable to sustain ourselves with 2 cup-finals and playing something like 7 games into 20 days. If we had won our last game, away to Leeds, we would have saved ourselves. 1 - 1 draw, relegation.

I don't see how sheffield united would have an arguement to sue west ham????
maybe the premier league but even that i doubt
the premier league were wrong to take so long to punish us. but we were punished 5.5million is after all the biggest fine in english football history.
the punishment was recommended by an independent tribunal so that is what the premier league will quote in any legal action taken against them...
the end of the day sheffield united went down because they aint good enough for the premiership...ha ha ha
