After your service is up, no matter how long you did, what do you go on to do? Stay in logistics? Lorry driving? Or something else entirely?

Thanks.

Spent a time doing what I did for the mob and now teach idiots engineering, small animal stranging would be easier, can I apply?

After you finish Gillo, after.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Errrrr, if its a serious question. Then I:

am a Network performance Engineer (Radio Access, mostly, but some Core on the CS side...Voice): Ascertaining network degradation at National/Regional/NE level, such as NB/BTS/Cell identifying trends from the KPI data provided & then undertaking fault analysis via the symptom/trace data files, such as call processing files for the User/Signaling plane (tbh most call setup/dropped calls occur due to an issue on the signaling plane) be it drive test log files, bin logs from the NEs or the standard symptoms. From here, if possible I will either action or provide certain recommendations to resolve issues/faults.

*That is why many of you, if you use your mobile during the silent hours (0000-0200hrs) you will either be on another operators net, or another platform, such as GSM, as most rectification/upgrades are carried out in the maintenance window to reduce negative impact on the network IE: subscribers not being able make/receive calls*

Thats One part of my job: Sw upgrades, Hw upgrades, feature testing, IOT testing, HSDPA/HSUPA testing & some LTE (4G) testing on and on and on in the testbed.

Mulitple customers (Primary One in Germany, but provide support for operators in Austria, Croatia & Netherlands)

Not quite what I did in the Mob, but the training/trade/experience (TG3/AD) certainly helped.

You did ask!

T93.

AAAHHHHH Sh*t Sorry fellas, I did not note the forum (Duvet Fluffers) sorry, anyway, you know how I earn my pounds, or in this case...euros

Ummm, sounds interesting. Think i'll stick to hurting mammals.

still using spanners and my vast experience gained at the tax payers expense.this time what im working on is bolted to the floor and dosnt fly off

Of course not. I make my money in an honourable fashion. Nursing all the senile old WOs and SNECS from TG18. job for life I tell ya.

Well I have always said I'd like a stress-less, easy, mundane sort of job that doesn't take much effort & with the possibility of putting something back into society by working with those individuals who are at a social & mental disadvantage compared to me.
So I'll probably rejoin the RAF again, but this time as a stacker. Money for old rope apparently.:PDT_Xtremez_42::PDT_Xtremez_30::PDT_Xtremez_06:

Got a real job with real promotion and now in the USA working for Cadillac.....could be worse, could be drowning my sorrows in a pigs bar!!

After many years of learning how to use hammers and spanners (properly too!) and being messed about by those who are supposed to know better, the RAF sat me behind a desk one day, and made me mess people about.

I found out that you could really mess people about quite easily, and you didnt have to get wet, or cold, or dirty to do it - so thats what I do now!

Not done yet but intend working for the RSPCA, so all you small animal stranglers best watch out!
