TIW is a pool of manpower, 60+ I believe, wasted in the wilderness that is Norfolk, They will soon have no fast jets and no work, the Canberra will pass soon, the Jaguar will prowl no more and the GR4a is just a dead carcass of a white elephant. Raptor sucks and has more hours in bays than on the airframes as for JRP (its only able pod) or what ever its called now. It can fit on any jet and needs only a few bods in a small section, Brilliant. Maybe this crazy new concept has merit, it could be called a Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre, now theres a good idea, a R I C!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Kill off TIW send a RIC with JRP to the harriers and bring the rest of the analysts to the big J and set them to work doing some proper Int work.

Nobody cares for TIW int, all commanders value Big J work, TIW is old, slow and has no go!

There are a couple of nice looking lasses at TIW here. I love it when they have a fault with their computers...what? ME?! putting problems there so I can go and lech! Never!!!!
 
Rumours are that TIW are going to become part of Peach's empire by the end of the year.

Credit to that thought and I would not expect anything less from a techie, however for all the dolls there are a few of the "I can't drink enough to make you a looker!" types there not even while on det.

You are correct, although this one time I won't take offence at being called tech. I am TG11 (still, give me my assasination course dammit) but have dealt with pc/network issues for the past six years and still doing it now

If you are all so naive to think that TIW aren't a valuable asset to the RAF maybe you should be having a word to AOC 1 Gp who happens to think that it's one of the best and is pumping more money into it than what's going into the Big 'J' (of which I would rather chop my right arm off than work there!!!!) and now that we are doing a lot of the products which used to be just big 'J' specialities maybe we should think about getting rid of some of the the Big 'J' rather than the other way around - I am suspecting that those who have contributed to this thread have not been to TIW recently or if they are some of the ones just leaving have decided to disassociate themselves with what's really happening there then they are the ones at fault not the real hard workers within the Wing!

Firstly Stella (Innocent girl's name or drunk spouse abuser) I once thought like you. The only saving grace of TIW was 41. Alas we know TIW even buggered that up.

Anyway as a rodney you should know better, when the RAF starts to spend money on anything it's about to be sold, disbanded or closed. FACT!

As for the 'Specialities' of the big J, if you were a half decent IA you would know it's all down to the IA's, nothing that happens within J happens just because of our systems, only IA skill, pride, initiative and the desire to excell leads us to do our best.

TIW is standing on the shoulders of a giant, J leads the way and always has and always will.

As for TIW, How's the PVR rate? . . . . I here short touring is popular there, now why would that be I wonder.

Get your head out of your ARRRSE and see the reality of the situation. TIW is on life support, without a donor with the priest at the door. Ahmen.

I trust you're lacing that with plenty of sarcasm.
I was part of TIW at it's birth, and for a year or so after that, and it was the biggest running goat-**** I had the misfortune to witness in my entire RAF career.
 
TIW is kept running by its bosses who re-organise it and use it as a promotion springboard. Tac recce by fast jet aircraft is dead in the water (Bring in Predator). They are just duplicating Int which has already been collected by our cousins.

TIW isn't too bad as long as you like det's, Jurassic Park is a waste of space and far too full of people who start speaking with "When I was in..."!

Anyway, neither can do the others job put TIW could have been put together better rather then the rush so someone could get their promotion.... mighty fine speech he gave before we went on Telic it was too! :PDT_Xtremez_21:
