Been to some exotic places apart from Belize, the 2 that are foremost is Sierra Leone and being the first fast jet sqn into Kandahar, Afghanistan. And too many trips on a fcuking Naval carrier/prison ship!

Reflustered and went to Hereford and became a Shiney in July 89
Completed Shiney Ar$e polishing and was posted back to Swinderby (bummer) on 31 Oct 89

Posted to 31 Sqn Bruggen 1990-93 Promoted out there, & still the best posting, what I remember of it!

Back to 6 @ Colt for two years and then on a HNC course at Cosford

By then I was top of the overseas list so back to 31 between 96-99.

Waddo 99-02 MSW ADP Flt

Cosford 02-06 as an instructor, settled into rundown when they offered promotion.

Shallow as a teaspoon, took it and ended up on 31 Sqn for the third time.

16 months till the best promotion of all.......Mr!

80 - 83 The Fightin' 19th @ Wilders (now full of train tracks)
83 - 93 The Fightin' 29th @ Coningsby again (2 trips to the desert for a war and a round the world trip to try and sell the F3 to any mug that would have it)
93 - 95 the Fightin 111th @ Leuchars (2 trips to Italy armed only with millions of lire to fight of the locals in a drunken haze)
95 - 00 Running the Radar Bay @ Leuchars Gin Palace
00 - 02 The Sausage makin' 15th @ Lossie

Hi all,

New member, first posts.

As the name implies I am one of the RAF's best kept secret (either that or no one want to admit to us) the mental health nurses.

That identifies me way too much so that is all I will say.

Postings wise I was one of the many afflicted by the curse of DKPH spending 4 1/2 years there and had they not closed the place I think I would have ended up there for the full 22!!

Nov 82 - Gut, 230 Sqn Pooma's (woohoo!) cos I wasn't on the FT board - so why did the ****s give me FT in Jan 83? ::/:
Nov 83 - Short toured to Rothschilds for FT
Jun 84 - Shawbury on Guzzles, bored sh!tless as you can only do so many tailwashes when they're not flying (most of the time)
Jun 85 - Back to Gut (woohoo again!) but as a plastic rigger in the Hyd Bay, but went camping with the leaping heaps as a mobile tyre bay (f**k of LAD, we don't do vehicle wheels!); got me tapes in 87.
Jun 89 - Wat-a-sham, and it was! 74 on REAL Tombs, followed by 74 on expensive UK copies; at this point the brakes go on career-wise (my fault, my attitude) - hello 'Billy Whizz', 'tonibaloni' and 'Offeh Kit'
Oct 92 - 51 (sshh) on recce 'rods, lots of det's to Italy's West coats and what was the cushiest time in the mob - nearly forgot I was in!
Nov 93 - Laar-parts, Pooma's again (2nd Line) - wotcha 'Rigga'
Jul 97 - Colt, the best kept secret in the RAF, 54 Sqn for 2 years then AMF for final 2 - hello 'I_look_like_kevin_cosners_brother'

Have been working for those who will 'quote you happy' for the last 5 years doing IT, due to leave on redundancy in Feb next year (voluntary) and will be moving into the whoring world of the contractor market.

Halton - Leave AFTS as a Rigger - Mar 85

2. Lossiemouth - 85 to 86 -The rigger bays, mostly as structures bay, Bucc di-electric panels, fish tanks and raft building. St Mawgan Conish pasties with 208 & 12!!!

3. 431 Bruggen - three years of Germany too early!! Munich = 3 weeks and £2K. More metal bashing. Lots of time in Gut's Mally. Leave Jul 89 for more...........

4. Metal bashing in the UK with RSS at Abingdon (not my choice!!!). Spend most time in East Anglia. popular destinations Witt, Marham and Colt. BDR king of Dahrann with Tonka "DH". Don't want to go to Saints, so......

5. Exchange to Colt!! As Ex Erk says, best secret!! 4 years of learning the rest of my trade. Great bunch of blokes on the best 2nd line Jag team. Goes wrong with a move to the team of death>>>

6. Move to structures Bay, biggest mistake of career. 4 years of crap and career put on hold, end is better with a short move back to a team, become Ex Erks paderan learner!!!

7. Change of carreer - go to Cottesmore, 2nd line bays. Career back on line. hit the start of LITS in the HF world, hey I know that rubbish. Year on VASS, its OK! Back to bays and on to Structures again. See how a structure bay should be run!!!! No boats, but lots of LEAN.

8. Last tour city, wife wants it, back to Colt. I want a Sqn, get the one I didn't really want!! TM is not my greatest fan (para 6 refers), get LITS, face the trials and become master under Yoda, get 3 Bananna, not on last tour anymore!

9. In the Cabbage patch with the dying felines! Career crossroads just ahead!!DT_Xtremez_19:
