Working out travel claim mileage?

9 mile round trip...? Try my patented solution, and take 3-4 hours of walking time from an 8 hour shift.

Edit- spool chucked

On the other hand, if the station is your place of work, anything you use your personal car for while at work (that is legitimately work related, such as getting about station- i.e. to the section, to psf, to medical or the gym) should be tax deductible.

There's no HTD here in the RAAF, so everyone claims every km on base from the tax man- though getting to work is at your expense & not claimable (and some quarters are 30km away from base  )

One major problem with that, you would need to 'up' your car insurance to include business instead of the normal commuting and leisure.

Or you could all stop being a bit lazy and get a treader at work for on station runs.

The implication being- a need for Sqn/ Stn bikes (hehe, snigger!).

Seriously though, I agree- bikes, helmets (sizes, various), hi-viz (sizes, various).

5 miles from gate to work though- I know that at ISK (mghmohs) PSF was right by the gate, medical was close by, and some knuckle-calloused-ones bays were around the other side of the airfield- about that far. There's 60 mins wiped out on the return journey for a start, plus the 20/ 30/ 60 mins waiting to be served by "customer service professionals" of PSF or Medical.

Saving the RAF money by wasting man hours...? That sh!t needs to be LEANED.

And so the cycle continues...
