As the transfer window is upon us, I thought it would be a good chance to share some of the worst signings for our sides ever.

For me, a Gers man, from a cast of too many (Van Vossen, Salenko, Sebo, Boli, Rozental) I would have to say it's Tore Andre Flo. £12 million for a waste of space, still managed to sting the mackems for 8 of it back.

Over to you....

Have to agree with Flo from a Rangers perspective. Complete and utter waste of money, and indicative of how much wonga we were throwing around in those exalted days. Was never keen on the Mo Johnston scenario either but he played okay.

Tomas Brolin to Leeds in 1995 - expensive, fat, useless.

I agree with Flo

From a mackem perspective!!!

Some of Sgt Wilko & Thick Mick's signings also were dire. Mart Poom summed their transfer policy up in 2002/3 - Spend half your budget on a goalkeeper when you already had 3 international GKs on your books.

Keane's signings dont look too clever at the moment either. One 3.5 million acquisition who may not be with us soon due to off-field activities.

Salif Diao and El Hadj Diouf. £15 million of combined cack.
Bruno Cheyrou - The next Zidane...NOT
Jose Josemi - Josemi being Spanish for shoite I believe.

He has a good eye by and large, but what about Igor Stepanovs and Jose Antonio Reyes?

Reyes story is a similar one to Jeffers. Young lad plenty of potential but didn't live up to the transfer fee. I think Jeffers suffered through injuries a little but Reyes couldn't adapt to England supposedly. Maybe he suffered from the 'Thierry Henry' syndrome but we did see flashes of his genius but only on the rare occaision unfortunately.

Christopher Wreh and Richard Wright??

By and large he has made some very good signings for very little money. I would be more worried if he was throwing away money a la Newcastle, West Ham, To55£nh@m in a desperate attempt to get into the top four.

Back on subject, Sergi Rebrov.

Derby's club record Earnshaw was 3'5 million well spent..................................not:PDT_Xtremez_25:

Thought of a few more whilst the MOTD "Pundits" are talking bollox:

Veron (For both Chelski & Man U).
Crespo
Mutu (Cost a bomb and then Chelski sacked him for being a coke head).
Morientes (Rafa bought him just cos he was Spanish).
All those dodgy Romanians that 'Arry bought for West Ham.
Damian Duff.

Beginning to look like Chelsea have signed a crock of sh!te over the years!!! Still I suppose even Roman has to kiss a few frogs before he finds a prince!

I've just thought of another beaut for us....

Egil Ostendstand, what a donkey.

Mind you several clubs could probably list him.

Derby made a killing on Dean Saunders though. As a Swansea fan, our worst transfer deal was letting Saunders go to Oxford on a 'free'; he went to Derby a couple of years later for £1M and then to Liverpool for £2.9M. Not a bad return on investment for Oxford and Derby.

Aye and he could play a bit too.

What about Liverpool, when they signed Sean Dundee, more like crocodile dundee.

Mind you the way things are going what about Rafa Benitez:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Wenger doesn't usually pick any wrong 'uns, but Francis Jeffers at £8M was a waste of dosh.

I have to disagree. I think us getting £8M for that wing nutted git was excellent business. Though we did end up with Richard Wright .::/:

I could fill a page with some of Rangers signings.

Nuno Capucho
Daniel Prodan (romanian International left back £2 million, gmaes played 0, due to cruciate ligament injury)
All of Paul Le Guen's signings
Flo, for £12 million i wanted way more, and at about 7 feet tall why couldnt he win headers?
Basil Boli
Paul Rithcie
There are quite simply loads!!!

I was happy with Clement. I know it's only one signing made by that French tw@t, but he's a decent player.
