Oop's seems someone made have fecked up at what was once RAF What a shambles. "The Army Air Corps helicopter is believed to have fired the 'negligent discharge' as trainees prepared for a training session at Wattisham Flying Station," "In the Army a “negligent discharge” is considered a serious offence and leads to disciplinary action" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8919283/Investigation-launched-Apache-helicopter-fires-flesh-shredding-round-British-Army-Base.html https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/apache-helicopter-fires-lethal-flesh-22965233
Not drink driving but drink flying if this article is correct some folks in the two winged master race could be in trouble. Possibly because of a big party the night before and not enough bottle to throttle time, all allegedly of course. But we are a rumour site https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8677865/Military-police-arrest-RAF-Voyager-captain-drink-flying-moments-jet-off.html "The captain of an RAF Voyager was arrested on suspicion of drink-flying moments before his jet was due to take off. Military police stopped the refuelling tanker as it was taxiing down the runway at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus. The pilot and one crew member were arrested after allegedly failing a breathalyser test and taken to a military detention centre."
We pulled out in noticeable numbers way back for different reasons. Irritated at Germany not paying what he deems a fair amount of its GDP to fund forces within NATO the petulant one is withdrawing troops from the country. " The U.S. will bring about 6,400 forces home from Germany and shift about 5,600 to other countries in Europe" " NATO nations have pledged to dedicate 2% of their gross domestic product to defense spending by 2024, and Germany is still short of that goal, at about 1.4%. " " Trump bluntly said 'We're reducing the force because they're not paying their bills. It's very simple. They're delinquent." This will cost the US big bucks and Germany will miss the spending power of servicemen on it's soil. Of course it might...
A hot topic in days gone by with folks for and against subsidised schooling for scaley brats. From memory, back in the early 90's, there was a boarding school in Tring that was popular with certain folks stationed at Halton. As ever there are those who will try to fleece the system maybe even this guy. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8512437/British-Army-major-general-faces-court-martial-time-200-years.html "Army regulations allow claims of up to £23,480 a year towards private school fees, but Welch is accused of claiming more than double that. He allegedly used the money to send his child to a school within 10 miles from his £800,000 Shillingstone home in Dorset."
L/Cpl Mongan lay dead in his room for 3 weeks without anyone checking on him. He was due to move to another unit, with his old unit thinking he'd gone and his new unit thinking he was still at his old unit. He was subjected to racial bullying due to being of Irish traveller descent. The Army refuse to say how he died.https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/soldier-lay-dead-barracks-three-21458992
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8033589/Hundreds-musicians-British-military-bands-forced-stop-playing-injuries.html "Hundreds of musicians in British military bands have been forced to stop playing due to injuries caused by marching and performing at the same time....... Official new figures reveal that 348 musicians from the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force bands had been medically downgraded as of April 1, 2019," Who would have thought that tooting your flute, banging a drum or playing with your trombone could be so dangerous!
