Well it might make for a more entertaining race
If the car and drivers are that good they can carve their way through the pack
Better than the usual who leads at the start leads all day

Why wern't the Ferrari's penalised, they were there going slowly as well.
All the stewards are doing is to make it a close championship. The Ferrari's wont last the race anyway.

Overtaking is the way forward, watch out for Lewis.

What about the Toyota driver who held lewis up on his lap?

Iswear to god all the officials are in Ferrari's/Ecclestones pocket.

It's got nothing to do with Ferrari as it was Alonso and Heidfeld who complained to the officials, if Hamilton was held up he should have done the same.

From the footage i saw they were in the way and deserved the penalty, I have not seen what happened to Hamilton, but if it is the same then what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

And thats cominig from a Hamilton fan.

Saw the clip when Alonso and Heidfeld cut through about 4 much slower cars on their fast lap. As Heidfeld came through Heikki cut right across in front of Alonso, so that was I feel was justified. However, I cannot comment on how Lewis slowed Heidfeld.

Think they will be changing the rules to ensure that cars that have completed their flying lap must stay at a higher speed.

So where exactly do they go to get out of the way? If the FIA hadn't introduced these rule changes then no-one would be doing fuel conservation laps and would be doing fuel burning laps instead.

Should make for a good race though, positions 1-7 piled up on the first corner in the wet and that should leave the way clear!

Can't beieve Mr Masher hasn't put his spin on it yet!!

If they really wish to save fuel, why not pull off the track and switch the engine off.
Recover it after everyone has finished.

Once they have crossed the line, they have finished the qualy.

The only prob now is that both Mac's will be running low fuel from their position so that screws mac's race strategy and now they can't refuel cos they finished qually 3. Also their launch control is a bit on the sh1te side compared to the other front runners so there will be a poor start for both of them. All and all Lew and Heikkie have their work cut out for them tomorrow.

But if it rains it will undoubtedly even the playing field.

I think you'll find that the 2 McLarens were driving slowly along the racing line when Heidfeld came tanking along, thats what the penalty is for.
As mentioned, the closing speed would have been massive. Very dangerous and not just attributable to the drivers but also the team. The other drivers nearby were off the racing line, thats where they're supposed to go T55, off of the racing line.

Almighty pace from the Ferrari's though and no suprise to see a Bmw up there.
I cant believe how close the rest of the field are.

Oh I see, so the McLarens were the only slow moving cars on the track. Anyway, I have bet on the Ferraris winning because my luck is such that I always lose bets. Good luck Mr Masher, let's hope that you like the race as much as you like Ferrari and I like the race as much as I like the British bloke in the British car :)

I have to admit that having changed the goal posts, yet again, the FIA have left a gap in the rules.
There doesn't seem to be a clear ruling on the inlap.
