Just a matter of getting the airborne master race to understand what they wear are coveralls and they can hang them in a locker at work when not actually being used - a bit like a techies overalls do. :pDT_Xtremez_28:

Imagine the whinging from them if a grumpy sumpy went for a meal in the mess wearing his oily rompers. :pDT_Xtremez_17:

What has the fact there are no blue shirts in the system got to do with anything? Everyone was issued them when they joined up and you can't just take them back to stores because your on TCW/TSW etc. They might have to dig them out but they should still bloody have them.

I distinctly remember some of the Red Arrows groundcrew coming into the mess at Colt wearing their blue suits, when someone complained to the kitchen staff he was given short shrift and reply along the lines of "They're the Red Arrows, they're allowed".

Couple of reasons.

1. If you have been in greens so long, can you find them and if so, do they still fit you.

2. You can only exchange 1 shirt, regardless of increased girth.

Never mind all the Growbags bumping their gums, the biggest headache has to be all the Rocks who have to wear blue :pDT_Xtremez_17:

There's going to be little or no change at Conz. It has been decreed that all aircrew on Sqns are permanently engaged in 'flying-related duties' and therefore will continue to wear growbags. :pDT_Xtremez_25:

The Staish wouldn't happen to be one of the winged master race?

Doesn't the IBN state that rocks will remain in CS95?

The bits I liked were:

It doesn't apply to MOD London - why not? If we travel and work in blues, so should they.

Travelling to and from work is duty - so if i HAVE to be in early, do I get to go home early due to commuting time?

Discuss...

Do you travel on the tube to work every day??? Slightly different from sitting in your car or cycling a couple of miles.

I heard today that TCW have been ordered to wear blues as of Monday.

I bet the clothing stores at Leeming are busy at the moment.:pDT_Xtremez_42:

Oh dear, best I dig out my blues then and bull up the old DMS shoes as well. However I'm going to love watching all of the Bootie's, Fish heads and Pongo's I work with freezing their asses off in Shirt sleeve CS95 (thanks to having a Bootneck as a boss) while I'm in my nice warm jumper and long sleeve shirt and Tie on Monday. :p:p:p

Plus not having to drive in High leg boots all the time. :pDT_Xtremez_14:

And of course never having to be called a Pongo again on the my stays in Hotels while in uniform (Which I do quite a bit of) in my travels around the country.

Thanks Glenn and the Air Force Board, you've really made my year!!!:pDT_Xtremez_14:

P.S. Like the idea of the Blue Coveralls as well, but can we have them like the old ones (though it will mean I will have to part with the only piece of original Uniform from Swinderby that I still have to get the second one). Also could we please have a decent No 2 jacket, as I would like to have something with real (big) stripes on the arm, my fist and sparks badge, oh, and my medal ribbons would look nice on them as well. 21st century take on the old Battle Dress would do the job. (Would kill the RAC / Security guard Sh!te with the unwashed civvees to boot).
