Are the government just waiting for a bad news day to release this years "pay rise" its nearly the middle of march and still not released!

What do they need to release!

It was announced when i was still in there would be a pay freeze followed by a 1% rise for a few years......

And i've been out since November 2011.

That's 1% overall, some will get more than that, a lot will get less than that. We just want to know who's only getting shafted and who's getting dry fisted with a barbed wire gauntlet.

It will be announced on or around 26 March, just as the House of Commons breaks for Easter Recess. That way, the Govt can avoid any awkward questions as Joe Public will have forgotten about it by the time the MPs return on 15 April.

something like this

something like this

1.5% for the lowest ranks giving them about an extra £250 , 1% staged 0.5 now 0.5 September. For the rest of you. No increases for Air ranks.

Accom charges up 3% grade 1 (to bring them closer to private market rates)

Some spouting about specialist pay, 1% across the board for LSA. Loss of council take relief.
CILOCT up 2.3%
Food charge up another 20p a day. Due to the increased costs of something or other, but nothing to do with profits for ISS or whoever.

There you go all made up but I would put my next pay rise on it being pretty close.

it could be really bad news! Part of this round of the AFPRB is to review X Factor (reviewed every 5-years). We might all be hoping that this could mean a rise but....we could get shafted on that too!

I dont think we can take anymore shafting, we are already on the biggest size butt plug from stores.

Is that defo this year? 'cos if so that could be good news....I remember if previous years the inflation rise was poor but made up with a slight increase in X factor. Just hope they don't give us a 1pc pay rise, and reduce X factor by 1pc!

It may not be a good thing, X factor is a comparator, pay rates and other benefits have been hammered in Civi street since 2008 so even with no pay rises for the forces you may still be better off.

CPI is 2.7% so is inflation
Household expenditure up by 0.2%
RPI our old pension tracker rate is at 3.3% so we're losing out on 0.6%

On average, we're all 25% worse off than we were in 2008. Project that into the future with poorer pensions and we've been royally screwed over. As predicted, we paid heavily for the recklessness, greed and incompetence of others and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives.

Its definatley this year! If you were sad enough to read the last AFPRB report it made specific mention that this will be part of the Review Bodies work for the year!
