OK you lot, I'm after a serious opinion. I'm at the point where I need to decide what colour I'm going to have for my Kit Car and want your help. The car is of the type pictured and as it's a classic style car, I don't want something that is out of character. The colours I've got in mind are in the poll, but feel free to suggest something else that would be in character. Any stupid answers such as "scrap it" are unhelpful and will obviously be ignored.

This includes all you wimmin, as I know you are experts on basing opinions based on car colour!!! (don't hit me too hard)

British Racing Green, best colour for any kit car/sports car that has character and style!

British Racing Green. Ideal for a classic looking car like that.

Any car thats not British Racing Car green is a gayer mobile. :PDT_Xtremez_05:

Its the only colour it should be.

Can I just add at this point that the FOMzVagen is British Racing Car Green.

all these calls for British racing green is precisely why a kit car should be painted differently ! Black is my shout something unique.

Dont be sheep !!!!

Hmmmmm firsty........((((((((((SLAP)))))))))) for generaling about women, you cheeky sod!

As for the colour, I'm afraid I'd have to agree with the others British Racing Green, although I like the red its a bit of a girlie colour! If you really don't want to go green with the masses then I'd go black, it would still look class!!

British Racing Green - or, as a slight variation, but still classic - what about Goodwood Green??

Everyone sayin' BRG. Mmmmmm, sorry to say that I don't agree (waiting for Gayer backlash).
Everyone does it in that colour, be an individual (unless you like the colour that is).

There are loads of colours out there in keeping with the look of your motor. I quite like the "Old English White" of the MGA but then you would have to change the colour of the top or the dark red, but I'm not to hot on the dark blue, but the light blue looks ok.

Mate, it's up to you. If you like BRG do it, but keep an open mind to other colours out there.

Seriously: cream or off-white would look good providing it's matched with an appropriate interior (red?) and hood.

or, for individuality, a canary yellow body, apple red wheel arches and paint the grill blue. Be sure to wear a blue hat when driving (bell on the end of hat optional...)

Just had another look at the pic of your car.

The problem you now seem to have is the colour you paint it is dependant on the colour of the hood and interior. I don't think that BRG, nor would white/cream would go with the off white hood.

If you couldn't change the hood or interior the best bet is to go with the colour it already is.

Think we need more discussion on this colour matching.

Ladies over to you, what do you think? lol

BRG... the only real colour choice for a car of this ilk.... the roof should be darkened to a beige and the interior beige leather....(about two shades darker than the Sospan image)

Other than that, if you must be different, the Petrol Blue that Sorry CJ has piccied looks good or Deep Red with cream hood etc.

Black is a nightmare car colour, never looks clean and shiney and if you have any temp control/radiator water retention issues is guaranteed to make them worse.

Is that girly enough for you Sorry CJ?

Quite correct Scaleywife a darkening of the hood would work for BRG (a Mid Tan).

It's just the colour of the hood that narrows down the colour choice.

Here is your BRG and tan, too dam common for me.

How about a darker colour of the hood. I do agree this combination of colours is a bit common.

OR

Try the original colour with a darker tan hood, see what that looks like, OH Computer Guru of Paint Shop

OK am I being thick? Didn't RB say that the pic he posted was just of the type not the exact one! So surely the colour of the hood is not an issue.
