Sure thing, will she be on the road before the winter months ?
:PDT_Xtremez_43:

Depends on what you mean by "on the road". It's nearly driveable, just needing a clutch pipe and 2 new brake calipers. I'm getting these on my return from DOT at Fairford, so in the meantime I'm getting the dash & wiring sorted. When it is driveable my priority will be to get it MOT'd for the road and then take my time over the trim and interior.

I suppose the short answer really is it will be driveable by the winter and then hopefully on the road proper by next spring.

By the way, Toby's male :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I have just stumbled on this thread Roverboy. What a cool looking motor. The paint job looks excellent. Should be a stunner when its finished, just make sure you get some pics and post em? :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I would have voted BRG or silver btw......................

OK peeps, here are the latest pics of "Toby". Ok, I know it's a stupid name, but he just looks like a Toby and who says cars have got to have birds name?

No-one, but if you'd rather climb inside a bloke that's up to you ! :PDT_Xtremez_17: :PDT_Xtremez_42: :PDT_Xtremez_31:
Personally I'll carry on climbing into Gretel or Mitsi and screwing the ass off them :PDT_Xtremez_30:
Or riding the ass off Yume ! (My CBR :PDT_Xtremez_28: ) Until I'm forced to sell her :PDT_Xtremez_37:

Fair play though, he's looking very neat dude ! How long do you reckon before it's finished now ?

He won't be finished before Winter I'm afraid!! I was away for a month, so I fell behind a bit but the electrics are almost finished with just the headlamps to fit. I've just completed wiring in the rest of the lights and wipers etc.

The next jobs to do will be to get the clutch pipe fitted and brake calipers so I can physically drive it under it's own power. Although the engine runs sweet enough, I want to test drive it a bit round the outside of the motor club. I'm then planning to get it MOT'd at the beginning of next year with a bare shell and then I can do the interior and trim at my leisure as I don't want to rush stuff like that.

It looks good!

Should keep you out of trouble during the winter months. Keep us posted!

OK, here are the latest pics of the project. I managed to get a set of bolt-on wire wheels from a Triumph herald which I think set the car off, but obviously they need tarting up. I've actually driven it round the area of the motor club which was the 2nd big objective of the build (after getting the engine running and before the MOT).

All I've got to do now really is overhaul and fit the front brake calipers (all the pipes and the rear drums are sorted), fit a new washer bottle & piping and generally tidy up all the wiring up and make sure everything's tight before booking it in for it's MOT. Then I'll be onto ebay looking for a wooden bootrack & old AA badges to make it look even more the part. It's a shame the car's not old enough to qualify for black & silver reg plates, but I might get some anyway and see if I can get away with it. Then it's leather flying hat & goggles for a blast down the country lanes!!

I was responding to a post that I hadn't seen for a couple of weeks you geriatric!!

Next time just start a new thread and then the old git can complain about cluttering the forum with pointless threads while merging it with this one.

Bloody mods. Power crazed maniacs to a man (or woman, junky, transgendered deviant or whatever else wields the blue bar of power):PDT_Xtremez_15:

EDIT: What the hell is this doing up here??? It should be about four posts down:PDT_Xtremez_09:

It's the new improved "make the poster look a d1ck" feature. Designed to make it look like you whinge about the mods before we give you something to whinge about.

Clever eh?

Yet another thread dragged up from the depths:PDT_Xtremez_17:

I couldn't see any seatbelts or road tax disc:PDT_Xtremez_06:

Looking good, told you green was your colour.
