CSE Shows

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Bjorn Again in 1998 and The Stranglers in 1999 both in Cyprus. The Stranglers were outstanding, although they didn't sing Peaches.

Although not a CSE show, I saw the Go Go Girls in Incirlik in 2001 as well.

ed byrne came out out to the middle east in 2004! he was brilliant. the americans were gob smacked. he was told before the show to keep it clean, first words out of his mouth were filth. he was supported by a band called top cat(played covers) they were pretty good too! top show fellas:PDT_Xtremez_14:
worst by far, wwas a week previously(i think) was an american one called war comics, or something like that, jeez, it was excruciating!!

Top Cat were out in MPA last year and they were awesome. A swift visit to a certain mountain produced an even better set. Lead singer was absolutely fecked and said that he sounded like Lemmy. So, a swift rendition of 'Ace Of Spades', blew us away. What was even better was that it took half the song for us all to realise he was only on acoustic!

Worst was the Bee Gees tribute band with that Zed-list fat fecker from X Factor or Pop Idol 5 years ago. Everybody else got dolly-birds, we got fat blokes! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

The american's seem to get far better bands supporting them (depending on musical taste of course)
This is the video for Drowning Pool's latest single which was filmed in front of a USO crowd in Iraq and Kuwait.

They played this tune when I saw them live a few weeks back, with an intro from their singer as to how folks should be supporting the troops even if the don't support the reasons for them/us being there.

enjoy!

Warning....Older people or Barry Manillow fans might wish to consider the use of ear plugs :PDT_Xtremez_15:

Fablon...Why has your hand not snaked around the blond bird under her armpit and into mammsville??

Poor drills...

Sorry dude, I must have been too nervous upon meeting two extremely arousing and no doubt highly intelligent ladies!

Sandpit 2006 two ladies in the hospital prior to all over medical examination

he wasn't afraid of the pies

he wasn't afraid of the pies

At MPA in 2000 I suddenly realised how old I was. Tony Hadley was the star turn, and the guys in my work place said 'Who?'. It was pretty good, and by all accounts OC Education found the WHOLE evening quite steamy!
was out there at the same time. his gozomy bird was delayed 24hrs so he spent the extra night drinking, with the 1312 lads, at the (in)famous Queen Vic's Saturday Night Hooly (think that was one of the few nights i didn't do the door!).:PDT_Xtremez_28:
*impression of Tim Nice-but-Dim* what a bl00dy nice bloke!!

1993 at Alice when Mick Miller broke his arm. But by far the best were the ones in 1997 at Byron, The Stranglers were awesome and the flaming sambuca races with them were great!! Still got burns to this day!!!!!!!
Bobby Davro was hilarious and his dance troupe had this girly who used to be in Grange Hill (posted this before I know!!!!)

Got the kite back with that lot, after many many days delay we got 3 1/2 hours out of MPA only to dump fuel and go back to pick up a compassionate case.
Davro thought it would be fun to play his guitar and sing a few songs to lift the morale of us poor unfortunates. He didnt account for half of 2 Para, especially the 6ft monster who stood up and shouted

'Davro, you tw@t. Shut the fcuk up and sit down or I will kill you!'

Laugh I nearly sh@t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Jim Davidson at Bruggen in '95 and although he was funny in his day, they might as well have put a tape of his on in the NAAFI as he did all the usual jokes with nothing new. He did write out a sizeable personal cheque to top up the Station Charity fund though

I saw Jim Davidson in 84 in Stanley, he had Richard Digance who was pretty funny and a couple of young women dancers. As we were coming into the gym on coastel 3 someone asked Jim why he was setting up a video camera. He replied "I want to see the generals face when I call him a cnut". Jim at his prime.

But well past it by '95 unfortunately!!

CSE Shows

Shall never forget Xmas 95!. Being herded into a hall at MPA to watch Richard Digence and his support. Digence, although ill, was actually quite funny, however his support artiste made a brave attempt at cheering up the troops ( the whole purpose of CSE shows) by giving a second rate rendition of " All by my myself....don't want to be ......All by myself ". Not the best choice of morale boosting song when you're 8,000 miles away from your family at Xmas!

Cheered me up no end !!!!!!
