VhvH - What about those which are below average that Roy puts his trust in? Poulsen has not performed at all like his reputation. We need to bring Aqalani back and use his talent.

I may have thought Hodgson was the right man for the job, but now I'm having second thoughts. How he can think Liverpool actually played well is beyond me, perhaps dementia is setting in already.

How long will NESV put up with this crap before he's shown the door?

I must admit, I didn't expect him to go so soon, however the cancellation of yesterday's press conference was an ominous sign. I have nothing against Hodgson and to an extent was quite pleased when he came to us. But he was never a LIVERPOOL manager and once you lose the fans, then you're pretty much toast. Hopefully with King Kenny starting fire in some bellies, we can salvage something from this disastrous season. Long term, well that's another thing as who do you bring in? Kenny would be the 'heart over head' choice but is he a permanent candidate? What about Rijkaard or Hiddink? Things will be worse before they get better.

You have to admit it tho, it's feckin brilliant to see LFC struggling. Imagine them in the Championship, now that would be a site for sore eyes!!

Seriously, it would be just brilliant. Imagine how they'll feel when Utd overtake them in the number of League titles won and become the most successful English team......no doubt they'll start to mention the number of league cups they've won, priceless!!!!!

Oh no, it'll be the usual 5 european cups argument, :PDT_Xtremez_30:

The mancs won't be overtaking us this season. City or arsenal. It'd are due a fall soon

It would be a sight just like 1974 when Man U got relegated. Dennis Laws back heeled goal for Man City sent Man U down. But as this is a Liverpool thread perhaps those who are bothered enough about the team 40 miles up the East Lancs Road from Liverpool could start a we love Man U thread in the same manner as this one or the Glasgow Rangers thread. Sadly there's not much call for a Accy Stanley thread

Started a Man U thread here

Sorry fella, but being brought up in the North West throughout the 70s, having LFC rammed down my throat week after week, this is too good an opportunity to miss. Seeing them struggle the way they are, well it's about as good as it gets! That said, they'll probably do Utd tomorrow.

Well I have to disagree with the first part even when Liverpool were winning everything in sight we still had utd rammed down our throats by the Manchester based northwest press corps. I agree with the last remark

New manager, and all that, players with something to prove, could be a classic FA cup game but I reckon LFC will be well up for it. And like I said before, I have no idea how Utd are top; we have flattered to deceive all season so far.
