The 8th?????? biggest club in world football.....
After:-
Man U
Arsenal
Chelsea
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Valencia
AC Milan
Inter Milan
Oh...I'm by 8. Guess Newcastle are somewhere lower by say...a few hundred. It's not the number of fans or financial income that counts you know...TROPHIES. Spelt..
T.R.O.P.H.I.E.S.
Win some of that and you might get some tradition!!!
Well i'm sure that my team would stand a better chance of trophies if we played in a two team league. I see the old firm have done fantastically well in recent domestic cup competitions too. Jog on :

And as for the mackems expecting to be where they are, I seem to recall alot of posters on here stating how Keane was gonna transform them and they were gonna push for europe this year at the start of the season.
With regards rueing the day we sacked the fat useless cnut in my avatar. Look at the following
"Keegan's first eight matches:
1) Newcastle 0-0 Bolton
2) Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle (FACup)
3) Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle
4) Newcastle 1-1 Middlesborough
5) Aston Villa 4-1 Newcastle
6) Newcastle 1-5 Man Utd
7) Newcastle 0-1 Blackburn
8) Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle
So in eight matches we've played top four teams four times, three of them away. I would have considered it a bonus, in current form, to get anything at Villa. That leaves the matches we arguably should have taken more points from as Boro at home, where we had two valid goals disallowed, Blackburn at home where we missed a hatful of chances and Bolton at home where Keegan had been in charge all of a week.
"BUT KEEGAN HAS NO WINS IN EIGHT!", the press tell us. "HE'S GOING TO GET YOU RELEGATED, HE'S PAST IT, HE HAS NO IDEA, HE'LL JACK IT IN JUST LIKE ALWAYS....HE'S MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE!".
BRING BACK BIG SAM? Let me tell you as someone who has witnessed all the home matches above, Keegan has made a big difference to the team, the style of play and therefore the amount of chances we're creating.
Let me also tell you, if Newcastle go down, it won't be because of the run of results above, it will be due to results like this:
Derby 1-0 Newcastle
Reading 2-1 Newcastle
Newcastle 1-4 Portsmouth
Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle
Newcastle 2-2 Derby
Wigan 1-0 Newcastle
Newcastle 0-2 Man City
7 leagues matches, 5 of them against relegation candidates...and two points to show from it. Did I forget to mention Fat Sam masterminded us to these hapless results?
