You writing Chelsea off already mate? That Ruski has a BIG cheque book and the transfer window is about to open.
I still reckon they have an outside chance. 3 horse race?

Not discounting them absolutely, because as you say, the transfer window will soon open, and they are not known for their paucity in the marketplace. However, I believe they will be severely affected by the African Cup of Nations, and by the time they get all their players back, it could be too late to catch up. It might be a 2 and a half horse race!!

True enough, but the gooners lose a fair few quality players in the ACN too. At least its an interesting season!

But Man Utd do not lose any!! I still think Fergie's lot will win it this season, it may not be by much, but they just look a slightly more balanced side than the others. Should make for some great games as we get towards the business end of the campaign though!!

Looking beyond the 'Big Four'

Looking beyond the 'Big Four'

I think I'm going to put a few bob on Man City. Fifth place now and Sven has at least £25 mil - and going by what he did in a few weeks in August, he will probably spend it wisely.

Just so long as he doesn't try to bring in overated English tat like Gerrard, Beckham and Lampard, City should be there or there abouts.

He's done a great job at City, but the best he can hope for is a top 4 place and the Champions League next season. He'll buy again for sure, but I think next season could really see them challenging.

Gooners only lose Toure & Eboue. Eboue won't be missed, not exactly a goalscorer extrodinaire & liable for too many cards with his temperement. Toure will be a big loss though but Song has been playing well in the Carling cup at centre back and deserves his chance ahead of Senderos or Djourou who have both proved error prone. Just hope Song doesn't get called up to the Cameroon squad now or Mr Wenger will have to splash his cash on a CB to cover for Toure's absence.

Sven has done a great job at City and I didn't expect them to play so poorly against us on Sunday, at least in the attacking sense. But I can't see them challenging for the title just yet.
Its probably between Arsenal and ManU now. Chelsea are a fading force and we're still off the pace in too many areas to be honest.

Really? I thought it was more. Well that changes things a bit. Man u champs, Gooners 2nd and Chelski 3rd. 4th is too difficult to call. Could be any team from 4th to 9th at the mo.

I wonder why you're the most hated club in the country?:PDT_Xtremez_30:
Worst fans in Europe (as said by UEFA).
The glory days of the 70's are long gone.

Did I touch a nerve?:PDT_Xtremez_42:

No need to get to bothered about the red shi*e Split brain geezer mate. As always he's not even from Liverpool, just jumped on the band wagon went it trundled by when he was a snotty nosed southern kid.

Same as the Man U band wagon that passed through in the 90's.

true fans are hard to find in the so called top 4.............

Fcuk me, not YOU as well :PDT_Xtremez_09:

No need to justify my support here, just suffice to say there was no bandwagon to jump aboard in 1969 :PDT_Xtremez_30:

69 ?? now i know your a cheating red scum bag ......... you must have been at least 30 in 69 ..........:PDT_Xtremez_28:

So you're not from Liverpool eh splitter?:0

All family on mother's side are mate. First taken to a game at Anfield, way before anything remotely worth jumping on a bandwagon for actually happened on our side of Stanley Park. Supported Liverpool ever since, if the family had all been Evertonians I would no doubt have ended up following them instead. Thats the way it goes with these sort of things.

So, to answer my question, you're not from Liverpool then?:PDT_Xtremez_42:
My first game was when my mum took me to Analfield to see a European game. (Bruges or Borussia Monchengladbach, I can't remember which). My mum is a rabid red.
It was all just so wrong.

I'm not from anywhere in particular - scaley brat.

So you rebelled then and went to Woodison Park. Good for you, you made your choice and I made mine. There was no alternative, dad hated football :0
