Kinda low on funds at the moment (bank balance says 30 quid :PDT_Xtremez_42: ) so will have to wait till I have enough in there to sponsor you if thats ok.

I've just had to pay a small amount of 1200 quid on my flat maintenance for the next 6 months so bank account isn't looking at all healthy.

Once I've got 2 weeks wages in there I'll sort your money.

Well I have to get up in the morning at really daft o'clock to be all ready for stupid o'clock when my big brother comes to pick me up to take me and Mandy to the airfield. We have to be there for 0830 to do some training, how much training can it take, we fall out of a plane, I'm sure even I can do that right. My brother is bringing along his digital camera so hopefully piccies and be shown.

All jumps are cancelled today due to bad weather, okay so yes it is pishing it down, and the wind is getting up, so have to book another jump date. Mandy and I have both done all our training though so at least we can just go straight to jump.

It was wierd too, been getting nervous but mainly because not knowing what to expect, now that we've done all the training I just want to get up there and do it. We're going to try and get over the next couple of weeks.

Peterlee has really cr@p weather for parachuting ggrrrrrr

Hey peeps

Sorry for not giving a recent update on the jump situation but I've been a little bit busy for the last week.

We've had two jumps cancelled by the parachute centre due to weather, and have been told it's not likely to take place now until after the new year, and now another little problem has arisen.

Mandy is up the duff

So it appears I shall be doing the jump on my own at the next possible chance and Mandy does hers after dropping the sprog, or we can both wait and do it together. She's due to squeeze it out June/July.

Which one should we go for? Personally I feel that the jump should be done asap. Or that Mandy should plan an air birth.
 
Looks like it'll be a lonely float down to the Ground for you then LQ!

Why not get a substitute? Like AW for instance?

With or without parachute?

I feel a poll looming, which goat member to jump in place of Mandy! I vote for FOMz at least if the chute doesn't open he'll bounce to safety.

Sounds to me like you're volunteering!! Kernow to jump I say.

Sure, let's all pressurise somebody into doing a parachute jump that they don't want to do just to save face on an internet forum, hardly fair is it. Charity should be something you WANT to do, not something you are pressurised into.

However, my vote would be for FOMz with a rucksack of dirty laundry in place of a parachute :PDT_Xtremez_30:
 
MingMong this is supposed to be a virtual crewroom, so lets think what would happen in a real crewroom. From experience 3 things could happen.....

1. The FS walks in and volunteers someone.

2. Someone is stupid enough to volunteer

3. A kangaroo court is held and the newest liney is chosen to volunteer and hounded until his dying day if he refuses and is replaced by a plumber cos they're all a sandwich short anyway.

Any of them could work really
 
We don't need a replacement, Mandy is still up for it, just she can't jump until after the baby pops out.

The sponsors were taken for both of us to do it together, I just feel that neither of us doing the jump until about August time is a bit much, and people may feel like it's ripping the pish. The options we have is either I jump solo at the first possible date they can give, and Mandy jumps later, or we both wait til we can go together.


My personal choice would be to do them as two jumps and not to wait.
 
I reckon she should pay a forfeit as it would appear she got up the duff as a way of chickening out. Next time she is up, and after she lands gently with a chute, she has to jump off this baby.. The Daltulich Bridge :0
