Keep on the original topic gents. The whole TS bashing has been done to death.

However, I have just checked the CISMST webpage and it hasnt been updated since Nov 07. If they are going to places like Cosford and discussing these topics, why not publish the fecking stuff on there so everybody knows what is going on?

BT2 and BT3 will not happen, instead there may be a lead-in course for those going to the wing.

CIS Tech and CIS IM are dead. Long live the new title ICT Technician - yes, this is for everyone, not just ex TG3. No longer will there be two seperate streams.

All promotion boards will be joint. End of.

4000 Trainees will not be trainees anymore, they will be apprentices.

This is all forecast to come in, during the next few months apparently.

I am surprised this info is not already on here somewhere, but feel free to check with your cosford contacts to confirm.

Sorry to be blunt mate, but bollux's, that was never mentioned in any briefs, they haven't finalised it, at worse it could be delayed but not scraped, you should work for the gutter press mate

However, the brief did happen, from our Wg Cdr, in Flowerdown on the 28 Jan 08.

The TS, who is currently on loan from Cosford was also in attendance.

Additionally, our trainees (Apprentices) have also been briefed on this.

Anyway, its up to you if you want to believe or not. As I said, it was provisional. But it definately did happen!!
 
ICT Technician?

Will this mean that us new guys will eventually be fully fledged techys with techy pay, (possibly after completion of AA)? Or will we remain on the lower pay band but be called technicians?

Wing Boy, yes mate some is true but not scrapping the whole B2/3 training and the rest of the garbage about tech/IM's, sorry mate really fed up with the bull shet being spread around by some.

Look mate, i'm don't mean to sound patronising but i'm not sure you know what ATLAS are about, beleave it or not they aren't really a threat to us.

Who was that aimed at? How can you say that ATLAS are not a threat when they are taking CIS provider posts from TG4?

They need SACs don't they, so no rush? (unless they all decide to leave when they find out there is no promotion?)
Guess they have to squeeze a day at digby in now too?

As for updates why is the new still flashing on the promotion updates?

can someone confirm that they need to do BT2/3 before selection for promotion or is it tied to offer of promotion?
