When they tried to wash the pink stuff off at Bruggen the sheep that used to live on the airfield started to drop dead with lead poisoning!!!! At Laarbruch we discovered that some-one had been down to the local Arab version of B&Q and painted all the drop tanks in pink gloss that would'nt come off!! Anyone remember the joy that was putting the tiles in the intakes- Believe they were £5 a tile at 90s prices

I have to give soom due to the Stackers here, they managed to "loose" some critical components of the field kitchen in transit, so we got an extra 3 weeks rates - good old boys!

There was a shiney who returned to CGY who worked in Rhiyadh and was in the office that stopped our rates 'cos of the field kitchen thing and then boasted of his thousands of pounds made over the period of the war in the Mess one night............ didn't take long for a bloody nose on that fella!!
