Times Report - Cut to the Bone?

Scottish Daily Express says it expects Kinloss and Lossie to Close. Dont know if it's on the online version as I have just read the paper. It is also in the press and journal.

It seems all the rags are onto scaremongering. I'm slightly worried that there is a deafening silence from our masters.

Why are you surprised about being kept in the dark mate? So what if someone has just moved wife, kids & family home to a camp that is about to close.

The Brown lot & the airships could not give a sh1t about us!

They only ever look up the ladder, never down & you know what the view is like from their particular rung!

Accurate by who's standards? By the high reporting standards of the Mail or Express thety are indeed "pretty good". By anyone else's standards they are rubbish.

BBC News is reporting 22 new Chinook and the closure of RAF Cottesmore:

Harrier will move to Wittering to die. Merlin will be transferred to the RN, confirmed in front of the Commons Defence Select Committee on BBC News 24 in the past few minutes.

We still got any Harrier GR7's??

Yes, there are still a few kicking around.

Nice to find out via leaks the info regarding Cott. This afternoon sees an official brief for all Cott personnel.
Last time I went to one of those was St Mawgan.........:PDT_Xtremez_42:
Any chance I can settle down in my next posting?

This a very true and disturbing quote....

Andrew Brookes, a former RAF pilot and director of the Air League, which promotes the cause of British aviation, warned the plan was short-sighted.

He told BBC News: "If you cut back the premier league capability of the UK forces in order to just win a counter insurgency campaign against the Taliban, which has no air force and has no tanks and has no warships, when you finally do pitch up against a state that has those capabilities you could seriously end up losing a conflict that really matters to the UK in future in order to win one in Afghanistan today."

Shall we hand the Falklands over now rather than be unable to win them back if the Argies have another go?

Labours vision of the forces is only focused on Afghanistan, they're leaving us with no capability to have a scrap on our own doorstep.

It is the start of the destruction of all that this country stands for. Labour are now putting in the place the final touches to get rid of all that it despises, just before they are kicked out.
