Halton 27th Sept 2000, 7 flt.... feel well young now looking at some of the dates you guys joined!!!!

Swinderblitz 6 Nov 73, 1st entry of Brats to go to Swinders; oh my god, memories (or is it mammaries) of Spittalgate Wrafs come flooding back! (still got the photos somewhere)

Spiritual home is obviously Halton, ah those halcyon days and long hot summer of '76, however, the Sports & Social Club at Benson has fond (expensive) memories of my 12 years there.

i'm a smally too- 27 nov 2002 at halton 4 flt (though i passed out on 11 flt- its a long story)

Swinderby for me, 14 Feb 89. Then off to Hereford for 5 weeks of mean, mode and medium, Data An training, best trade ever. Happy Days.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Swinderby 14 Sept 1964 10 Flight
Best Tea in the place was the Sally Ann
Remember Cpl Flet***r was our DI had a smashing looking daughter who worked in the NAAFI. She often wondered why she never got asked out

Still got Flight photo and met up with 3 fellow Flight Members on a resetlement briefing in 1988.

What a top girly she was! Nuff Said.

Swinderby April 1971, then on to Locking for RADAR Mech training. First serious home after that though was Bawdsey in Suffolk. I'm still in too!

There's a lot of smallies on here.....some surprisingly so too!

Swinderby Oct '83 it was for me on No.17 'sh1te' as the Cpl DI used to say (I do remember his name and it's what John Wayne was known as!). Fun times especially when I gave the rock FS abuse on MFT .....thinking it was a lad from one of the other flights!!! :PDT_Xtremez_42:
He never said a thing either but the look on my face when I saw him at a briefing later must have said it all!!!! Needless to say I wear contact lenses now and eat more carrots to see in the dark with!:PDT_Xtremez_19:

swinderby

swinderby

Swinderby 1991 (intake MP31 91) 11 flight 2 sqn.

All kinds of fun and games under the supervision the DI sergeant who we called "the wirlwind" named after watching all our kit flying out the block windows during his inspections!

One of his favorite things was finding you shoes had the laces undone, he would twirl them round his head and throw them against the walls. did any other instructors play "helicopters" if they found your laces out of place on your shoes?

:PDT_Xtremez_28: Swinderby/halton 1977, Sgt Ryan and Cpl Bruce. The sarg's old cry of my office lunchtime your on a charge still haunt me, brucie was class. Had a No 1 haircut prior to going, thought I'll **** off the barber (heard rumours) T**t still cut my hair.
Would not let me march in the inter flt comps either, as I could tick tock for england.:PDT_Xtremez_17:
Shouty one

RAF Locking, 1953, 75th Entry Aircraft Apprentices, C Squadron. Good grief, what a long time ago! Really wanted to be an engine fitter but got sent from Halton to Locking to end up as a GWF.

Sorry to say that I am part of the new pink and fluffy breed.

december '96 RAF halton. hated every minute....horrible midget bitch cpl shouted at me lots for being rubbish at marching and nearly made me cry. but i got best recruit for my flight for the regiment stuff. got a lovely trophy too!

January 78 at Swinderby.... what a shock for a wee lad like me. Everybody came down with flu, everybody got jabbed up with 'god knows what'. Hated the place, then off to Halton as Prop Mech.... Whit a pile o pump that was.

Swinderby bye

Swinderby bye

Has to be Swinderby Jan '91...the next flight got to do their MFT on Swinderby and sleep in the barracks cos it was too snowy at North Luff...

But Stanbridge is where my heart is....now just where did I leave it....hmmmph

Blagged in as a direct entry fitter.

117 Entry RAF Cosford Oct 1969.
Spiritual home has to be Scampton - certainly did a lot of living there. 230 OCU has a lot to answer for.
