Not if they've already taken the money or started to take the money ... or so I've been told. Too late, too late ...


Doh - they should have been more pro-active then ! they should have appealed the case. Probably wont get anywhere with second appeal but next step is Wilkin Chapman assistance for the Service complaint that will be going in ASAP.

I think that's the whole point, even for some of the people who have appealed, they haven't had the debt suspended. So the money's come out of their wages and there's nothing they can do.
 
I appealed my case back in 2007 and i was told my wages wouldn't be touched while the appeal process went through.
As i'd just arrived in Akrotiri at the time i was due LOA and the good old 'Work of an unsanitary nature' payments for emptying the bogs on the planes we had through.
They were right my pay wasn't touched but for about 2 1/2 years of a 3 year tour i received no LOA or anything else.
One way or another they'll claw it back.
 
That's just successfully getting a lower repayment rate not write off. The RAF refuse to accept any appeals then there's every chance that a lawyer could argue that the appeals process is not fit for purpose.
