Any one fancy a new no fly zone det to Aki?

BBC saying if the UN vote yes to the no fly zone over Lybia (in the next hr or so) then RAF Jets could be in action over the contry tomorrow!!!!!!

I know were good but unless theres a hidden sqn or two out there then I very much doubt it!!!!!

SDSR (didnt see this comming did yah!)

Don't know why they didn't go straight for him. Would've been a lot cheaper. :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Got to known exactly where he is and get a weapon to that point before he moves, such an attempt at killing an enemy leader has only ever happened once successfully in the history of modern warfare, to Adm Isoroku Yamamoto in 1943!!! though the USAF F-111s nearly got Gaddafi in 1986.

To quote me earlier, it's a pity they failed. Still, He hasn't really got anywhere to run to so his back is against the wall.

He will be hiding in a tent in the desert somewhere, which according to reports he has done most nights since mid April 1986.

The sub off the coast of Libya can do the same though!

It could once but since we had a limited number of tomahawks probably like 10 they had to do something with them, I call it OP Justify because that's what they are trying to do and yet no matter how "important" we see it as the cuts are still happening and after this may even be worse since we will be funding this nonsense from our already depleted budget........................

I see a certain busted rusty sherrif's badge owner has been up to his usuall ill informed tricks

Seriously can we have a UN resolution to bomb this bumder into silence? Honestly you'd have thought he'd have gotten over being made to look a muppet by RAF pilots who hadn't had the luxury of a SHAR conversion course by now, wouldn't you?

If he just accepted life, I am sure he would find himself in a happier place. The thing died with SHAR as a strategic asset. Decision made just get on with it.

He also seems to overlook the adage 'What will do a lot, will do a little'.

What a fooking nobber!!

I miss the harrier too but making up figures and twisting things and putting a biased spin on it (like not mentioning how much the carrier costs to run, and many other examples) ****s me right off.

Anybody else noticed the pletora of RAF officers on the news lately. Can't turn on Sky News or the BBC without seeing a mad scramble for an interview.........

I did notice that some overweight scruffy bloke in overalls is on TV pretending to be an RAF Group Captain.
He claims to be Station Commander of RAF Marham, he could be Lybian trying to show the RAF in a bad light.

The subsequent comments make good reading and come to the same conclusion, we respect what you achieved but now you're talking sh*te, just accept the cuts and get on with the rest of your life

Well, as long as he manages HIS fat... sorry.... fitness test....:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Maybe he needs to be a bit chunky, being 'talking ballast'. Perhaps he's used to riding the jets that otherwise need a bit of nose-down trim!

If a new member called Rocky suddenly appears you know who it is :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Gaddafi's air force 'defeated'

Gaddafi's air force 'defeated'

If The commander of British aircraft operating over Libya has said that Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's air force "no longer exists as a fighting force" then do we need to keep the NFZ going?

See HERE

Yes, because the UN resolution authorising the NFZ allows for further action to protect Libyan civilians from slaughter by Gaddafi.

I like the local fella calling a Gadafi No Drive Zone rather than a No Fly Zone

A bit of useless info, the Dutch deployed F16s to Deci today, plus a tanker, presume that went to Deci too.
