How do the scores work?

Every unit I fold nets 186 points, but some people seem to getting all sorts of points per WU.

FOMz, you've averaged over 200 points per WU. What are you doing different to me?

Initially my work units were all 50000 whatevers in size but recently they've been random so I guess that would make a difference - Tashymans is a good example

I started doing a few 5000's. I then did a 20'000 and now I'm on 4000's!!!

Is that 5000/20000/4000 according to the graphical interface or the console version?

Have you selected some setting to get these?

No mate.

All I did with my settings was cliick on advanced, change my core priority to 'slightly higher',put my CPU percentage to 100% and my checkpointing frequency to its lowest setting (3 mins). I also put my draw rate up to maximum in the display tab.

Yup mine are random as hell recently. Using the old Folding from Tray thang, it tells me what score you get for the current work unit. Recently I had a 500 odd point one, as well as a 200 point unit and the current one is worth 755 points.

Like Vim said its so easy and you don't even know its doing it!

It just folds in the background and when its finished one WU(work unit) its starts another automatically so no need to do anything realy once its all downloaded!!

We're climbing up the stats quite quickly

Even I'm doing this, and finding it easy, afterall I don't have to do anything once it was downloaded

Would be moving up quicker if we had more folders

Just to be a misery guts, I reckon that a lot of the climbing we've done so far has been through defunct teams and part timers. At some point we'll probably catch up to the back of the pack and stay steady.

Some of the front runners have webites and forums dedicated to folding and have special PCs just for it. Some of the members have 9 or 10 units thrown together from old cast offs stacked up in their garage that just fold 24/7. Good for them, but I just don't have that much cash or space.
