Top 3000!!

Top 3000!!

We've bust the 3000 mark guys - we are now ranked 2996 out of 70664.

Well done everyone - next target, top 2000.

We're now at 2950. Plus a little bird tells me that BFBS Sunny Island and the Lion may be doing a feature so that should push the figures up.:PDT_Xtremez_18: My sources are privileged but should see a surge in assistance from out in the Med.

Im using my PS3 and pc at the same time :PDT_Xtremez_26:

Couple of questions though, i seem to have to use 2 different alias, 1 for PC and 1 for PS3, is there a way i can combine the 2 stats?

Also i have the slider set to around about 80% atm but its only saying my CPU is working at 45 - 50% :PDT_Xtremez_35:

:PDT_Xtremez_26:

Move your slider upto 100% and the slider beneath down to the lowest (3 mins I think)

As for the name - have you tried using the same name?

ok cheers.

If i use the name name i think it just creates a new profile under the same name, when you look at the stats theres about 3 other dominos.

Folding Update:

Folding Update:

Date of last work unit 2007-07-09 07:15:04
Active CPUs within 50 days 37
Team Id 54234
Grand Score 165840 (certificate)
Work Unit Count 707 (certificate)
Team Ranking (incl. aggregate) 2610 of 72603

We are doing very well, though I have a couple of points:

1. Not many of you goaters out there are using your second (or even 3rd or 4th) computers for folding. :PDT_Xtremez_32:
Now I know some of you have them and I was guilty of it too until I moved to Marparts. I now have it installed on my laptop and I only need to connect using dial-up ocassionally (from my sad existence in the mess until I get around to having broadband put in) to update my Work Units Done. I will also get my lad's PC loaded with it when I get back home so I will have 3x CPU's running it soon.

So come on you lot, get it installed on your other PC's, using the same e-goat username and the e-goat team ID of 54234.

2. Have any of you Sooper-Dooper Mods thought of designing a 'Folding@home' E-Goat poster that we can all stick up in our workplaces to make people aware of it and get helping with this worthwile cause? (I have a few ideas and will have a go myself if I get the time - Mods PM me if required but I am sure you have ideas of your own utilising PS's banter!)

Spread the word folks and we should see our great team humping all those other geeks!!!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

In the top 2500 now

In the top 2500 now

Well, we clawed our way into the top 2500 folding teams see here , but the amount of active computers folding has dropped to 35 though. Come on guys, if you haven't joined - please do and get folding!!!

I must admit I'm p1ssed off 'cos I had a monster work unit (70000) almost complete when I had a crash and lost the lot, the crash wasn't related to the fold thankfully and its now merrilly crunching through another 50K Work Unit, all with no effect on my machines performance or download speeds

S2... Early Learning Center version....
(Mrs_M, don't download it again, after a good session this morn, it crashed the pooter! Last time I put it to 100%! Might need to let the CPU cool down a smidge!!)

Lol, new heatsink and bigger fan with side panels off fixed that problem for me!! Was running at 75 degrees before, 46 now! Got system running 24 hrs a day at 100% with no problems.. just need a faster processor now!

The e-goat folding team are now in the top 2400 in the Universe

And that is out of 75701 teams!!!

My pooter is back on the folding circuit after it went wibble a while ago. It's a worthwhile cause after all and you don't even notice it's there!!!

If you are using a dual core processor, the standard version of f@h will only use one core at a time, therefore, half of your processing power, so task manager will only show a max of 50% with one instance of f@h running on system.
If you wish to make full use of f@h on a dual core system you can do it one of 2 ways:

Create a second folder for the normal version (preferrably console only) and install there using the same user name and team number (54234).
This results in a second instance of f@h running on your system so you can do 2 units at the same time and use both cores on your processor.

Secondly, you could download and install the SMP version of f@h. This version is designed to use both cores to process one unit. It is currently being developed at the moment and you may experience a few difficulties with the setup to begin with, but the website's instructions and forum are very good and should have you up and running in no time. The SMP version also gets you more points per work unit, so if you can get it to work it is worth it. PLEASE NOTE: THIS WILL ONLY INSTALL ON DUAL CORE SYSTEMS.

Unfortunately I don't have a PS3 so I can't make any suggestions there. However, I find it a little strange that you couldn't use the same user name for both systems. As you can't combine points between users it may be worth cutting your losses and changing the username of your pc f@h to match your PS3.

I accept no responsibilty for the result of this information - Read it Carefully before doing anything: To do this without losing your current work unit, go to your f@h folder, delete the client.cfg file only. Run setup again and enter the username you have used on your PS3. Remember to keep the same team number (54234). When your restart f@h it will look for any work units you have and continue with them rather than download a new one. If you have loads of points though it might not be worth it.

Hope this helps to solve your problem.
