Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS). Sorry to correct you old boy. Can't understand why you get excided about em?

Not V Interesting. It's hardly a mecon is it?

Not only that but the chip illustrated is a TTL, not CMOS (that would have a 4000 series number).

Core Blimey; Ferromagnetic RAM. This was what went into the first moonshot.

I think I have a slice of this somewhere. . . . .

We had them fitted to our kit before NASA did, 4K ferrite core store from a Bloodhound Mk 2 Launch Control Post Argus 200 Computer © 1963/4.

Sadly, I remember the days when 48K was big, and look at us with our 32GB USB sticks now!

This was just before the days of, "Moore's law".

When I was doing a course at the local Tech, we'd just had a new RAM unit fitted. 32K and the size of two, 4-drawer filing cabinets. . . . .

Meanwhile back to more porn. Presenting, for your collective delectation, a pair of 4X150A valves, but running at only 600v HT.
PS. It's a T4188 (100w AM) from STR18b. So old even the AP's obsolete and you can get bits of this on e-Bay.

I think, that this is array envy ?

Ours, are 30 meters and 300 miles,

And between 5 and 60 megawatts peak, depending on how many of these little monsters you wish to switch on (Ensuring that the site generators are up and running of course, or you will trip the local National Gird sub-station).

AR15 was an Approach Control Radar, replaced by the Watchman years ago. I think the AR152B (an upgraded AR15 with Synthetic MTI) was used in the DAD training courses at Locking in the 80's.
