As I heard Rangers have 3 options today:

11 players get the sack to save 50% of the wage bill
or
8 get the sack and the rest take a 25% cut
or
The whole lot take a 50% cut....

Let's see how much these gay primas really "love the game" when it means joining the real world.

Well I know for act Rangers will not be voted to stay in the premier league , all clubs have said they must be punished and quite right. They have cheated the SPL by having an advantage of the others in more cash to spend on transfer budgets/ This has cheated some of the fair clubs out of lost revenue and lost european places, cup finals etc.
As for the Scottish game will collapse, everyone has been saying scottish football has been in decline for years , it cant get any worse if anything it will bring some more excitement from now on. Also where was Rangers when they wanted to leave with Celtic to go to England, where was there loyalties to the scottish game.

I personally I think the game will improve.

Seriously, wtf?
Whyte bought the club for a quid then deliberately ran it into the ground by not paying taxes. For this we were docked ten points, fined 100 grand and had a registration embargo slapped on us. Our European place was given to Motherwell.
Some advantage we have there.

The former hierarchies (Murray & Whyte) at our club made mistakes - no doubt. But those who wish to see us binned from the Premier League would be cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Yes we might have to go to Div 3, but make no mistake Rangers will be back - in the meantime the other clubs who remain in the SPL can try to manage without the extra money that having Rangers in the SPL brings because Sky will definitely re-examine their contract. So let our detractors make hay while they can for it won't always be like this.

Let's be honest the world would hardly take notice if rangers and celtic slipped into oblivion. After all Jockanese football is at best a joke and widely regarded as little better than Sunday pub league in England

Errr, I'm no fan of Craig Whyte, but the tax issue goes way back to the time of DM. As much as I'd like it to be, the tax bill is not Whyte's fault.

So why bother taking part in the debate then you tool? Leave the debate to those who have a genuine interest.

I see the truth hurts a bit then?

Seriously though as far as football goes the Scottish leagues really are poor, take Celtic and Rangers away there is nothing left. Even those 2 giants of Scottish football would barely be Championship standard in England.

Stick to haggis chucking and ****** your caber

But we're not in the Championship in England you thick old nob. I'll take our punishment whatever it may be, what I won't take is the ranting of some senile old f**kwit who has no knowledge of the history of the club, the league or football in general in Scotland.

You are clearly sticking to what you do best - being a t0ssp0t. Well done, you must be proud.

Yes but within the framework of Scottish football its irrelevant what the rest of the world thinks Gem, as is any verdict on the standard of football. Rangers and Celtic attract 50 and 60 thousand fans for home games and the revenue that brings to the teams who only draw a few thousand each week is vital as is the cash Sky pay for their contract. Remove Rangers from the SPL, remove the old firm derbies and they lose a pot load of money.

The loss of one of the big 2 to the SPL will turn the whole Scottish league upside down. Basically they'll be the equivalent of the League of Wales. I wouldn't be surprised to see Celtic attempt to gain admittance to the English leagues if Rangers do get shunted down 3 divisions after all the loss of 4 Derby games a season will be hard to bear.

I can see a future for Celtic and even Rangers after doing their bird in the English leagues like Cardiff and Swansea but the joke that is Scottish League football cannot sustain them both.

It may be the ideal time for Rangers to move to England if that's what they want. It's arrogant in the extreme to believe they should walk into the Premier League, or even the Championship. They should start at the bottom and work up.

calm down and have another haggis. Jock football is unsustainable when only 2 teams can possibly win anything. Having to play eachother 4 times a season is a complete joke. Without Rangers Celtic have a free run but with no old firm derby to bump profits and Sky running away from screening Scottish football faster than Usain Bolt, Celtic will be forced to either try to get into English football or collapse the same as Rangers have done. Scottish football was bad enough with the 2 giants on TV every week it will be less attractive with just the one and when Sky pull the TV money Celtic will sink too.

A lot of fans forums believe this may have been Greens plans all along. I dont think it was however. If or when the SPL refuse re-entry then its an option. One I'd quite like to see and I'd happily start in league 2, but I don't see it happening, I think it will be the sfl div 3 of the SPL say no, which I think they won't.

Thank you the voice of football. Scottish football is sustainable provided clubs live within their means - the recent changes to punishments for financial offences mean we now have some of the most stringent penalties in Europe. As I said previously, but you may have forgotten because it's been at least 20 minutes, the previous hierarchy made serious mistakes and we are/will pay for them. No issue with that, but the SPL needs Rangers.

I for one do not understand why either Rangers or Celtic should be allowed into English football.

Let them sort there own problems out.

Couldn't agree more and all the other SPL teams would be mad to vote any other way.

RFC has a mountain of debt to climb. This is not just financial but publicly as well. So the money has been thrown away by the previous owner, so be it. But the SPL need RFC as much as RFC need the SPL. While the Gers will probably be dumped into Div 3 and have to work their arse off to get back into the SPL, it can only serve as an object lesson for the rest of the clubs in the Scottish Leagues.

Gem, you really need to sort your medication out. :PDT_Xtremez_30:
