You may well be very right there mate... I think the people who may well have signed on will now reconsider their options, however as a Cpl in our place has just found out when he tired to sign on past 22 and got rejected only a couple of weeks ago... they aren't that desperate to keep the 22 year people on!

No they don't seem to desparate to keep people on, they seem to have sucked the carrers from some individuals before discarding them. It does appear that they can be more selective about keeping people on during the (sorry to keep bringing it up) the current econmic climate. I wonder how the Services and in particular our Trade will be affected by any future upturn in that situation?
We continue to loose good people all the time, through no fault of their own, especially in the case of the Cpl you mentioned! Don't get me started!!

Well lets hope you get it as the 'door slammers' as you all kindly refer to us as, did WO and CPLS only then the SAC's the same as us can spend another few years complaining about and still get no where, you all get to choose your trades so why complain?

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. I have no complaint about my Trade. I am a Supplier, always have been, no issues!! If my rank is entitled to money through a review process then give me that money, especially if other Trades have seen that happen to them. I wait with baited breath for your reply.

Hopefully it will swing both ways...recently a Cpl I know who is permanently downgraded (useless, fat, lazy no OOA and gateguarding-but-can-ride-his-harley- cnut who shares a nickname with a goalkeeper) got signed on for 3 years continuance. All I can say is they must have been really desperate to keep this air-thief in a job who spends more time sick than at work. Hopefully as it sounds like continuance is drying up he will be given the 6 months notice, good riddance to him and his det-dodging ways.

Sorry mate, I prolly didn't word that very well. I didn't mean desperate as in they would have to be to keep him on, I agree it is a shame when people like him dont get signed on. He's a good egg and hard working and I for one was very shocked when he got rejected.

Latest, hot off the press is.........

.......wait for it........

No decision until Jan 2010.... LMFAO.

but apparently it's at stage 3??...whatever that means?

To be honest I'm bored sick of this sh1t. Over a feckin year to make a decision and get ratification. Speaks volumes for the trade and service as a whole.
As long as they back date the wedge, they could start paying me in 2012.

C'mon EF do something! Nice MBE, now do something worthwhile and you may get nominated for another gong. Or maybe you're not up to the job.

As there are 48 stages I wont hold my breath. HAHA

Should see some move on this before the century has ended, I hope.

Its official then, no decision until the end of this year.

I wonder what the next part of this farce will entail.

No upgrade, we knew that 14 months but just wanted to keep you hanging on.******

Movers point of view

Movers point of view

Well a note to all you suppliers,

The movers have been kept in the dark as much as you over the up banding issue. We scored more points on our assessments than the chefs, adminers and door slammers. In fact i believe our delay is due to the fact the powers that be have had some of our points awarded to you to give you a + score !!

The politics behind the delay in announcing anything to our trade has dragged on for well over a year. We have been told we got it but when the opportunity was given to announce it officially, it wasn't.

I wonder why?

Just tell us please.......

God, is he still in? Along with his Polish pie eating sidekick, 2 of the biggest (literally) wastes of rations I have had the misfortune of working with.:PDT_Xtremez_25:

I mean who goes on holiday to Disney Land with their parents when they're in their 30's? :S

Ha Ha thats pretty sad, though I always got on with the big lad, I know he's still in. I know the other one was supposedly sweating on his third...absolutely deluded if you ask me...then again in the lottery someones got to win it

How would that even begin to work?!

"Tell you what lads, you've scored X points for your handling of pax or whatever, but we are going to transfer those points to another trade to give them a chance!" I may be wrong, but that sounds like the biggest load of unlikely bollox i've heard yet!

Obviously this rediculous saga has been going on for far too long. This we must all agree on! However let us get back to the point of this forum and discuss the important things in life and the reason we all put that blue suit on. The answer, is of course, good old fashioned CASH!!

Now my first question is why is this taking so long, all I am hearing is delaying tactics and excuses, however you flower them up.

Secondly does anyone know if there is a specific date that we must have an answer. ie a cut off date,or will we just be given more dates that seem to come and go

Thirdly does anyone know the authority that can give me the answers or do we just have to listen to more excuses from the trade sponsor and rumours through the vine.

I hope that this will be answered sensibly peeps and thank you in advance for your reply
