How come there are still people posting here that think if you don’t pass a fitness test that you are some sort of burden to your section? Please explain.
As far as I know nobody has ever not gone out of area through not passing a fitness test, however there are plenty of people with sporting injuries who don’t go and bound to be many more from trying to attain the new levels.
There are a few people on my Sqn that have never passed a fitness test in their entire career go out of area regularly and return with glowing performance reports.
Just having different levels for male and female makes a joke of these tests. Surely the physical aspects of a job are the same for either sex or in theatre a injured colleague still weighs the same to either sex and a mile is also a mile to run if need be. So why different levels when we are paid the same to do the same jobs?
PTI`s? If we can use civvy`s to maintain our aircraft almost exclusively 2nd line and some training first line the RAF can definitely use civvy PTI`s and save some money.
