Way back when if you didn't have a civvie licence, you used to be able to get a C class permit which meant you could only drive within the camp fence.

I don't know if it officially included MQ's inside the wire - but on our section it did, so if you were on nights you could ferry the section WO and SNCO's home from the old peoples home on a binge night...
 
I know someone, (ahem) who drove a Bedford RL across the SWO's lawn outside SHQ at Laarbruch in 1978.
It was on TACEVAL and we were chasing intruders. He was spitting feathers for weeks. :PDT_Xtremez_31:

Might have done similar with a 4 tonner, but it was the Golf club Putting Green. Short cut when attending an incident during an exercise when I was on the DSU team. Two big ruts made it more suitable for crazy golf.
