With reference to Major Nixey's post, I would like to publicly distance myself from any association with the dispicable residents of Ashtead in Surrey. Osama.

Hitting the streets today - The Daily Telegraph

Good stuff.....................(and we even get a mention)

"Wacky guys..."? The cheek!!

Bloody good report though - see not all journos are bad!

21,500 signatures so far. Hopefully it will count for something.

You see some Journos can get it right! albeit not very often but this is good stuff!!!

I wonder how many of the residents of Ashstead will be wearing their poppies with pride come Remembrance Sunday?

The Blue Team have been out in force this weekend and support is mounting (see article). The bicycle billboard is just genius!

There are very nearly 26000 signatures on the petition now. Keep the pressure on, everyone.

Seen this, comments from Emma reference the YRF

Anyone earlier visiting www.yellowribbon.org.uk (The Yellow Ribbon Foundation, an Independant Tri-Service Information & Community Website) would have seen an interesting exchange of views with ARRSE. On Thursday July 26 a member of the YRF team writes to a visiting member of ARRSE & talks about the bullyboy tactics on other sites as well as arrse. A bit further on she says she does not see how she can ever stand up in support of the British Armed Forces after this example of just how disgustingly they behave towards one of their own family members, let alone someone who is at the moment working their backside off to get public support for the forces. Another writer on YRF the same day says that this lady is now getting harassing phone calls, posts and threats.

So ARRSE are perfect gentlemen!!

Yellow Ribbon Foundation have now closed down their site with dignity.

Well out of order

well I'm not guilty of any harrassing phonecalls but I did point out the danger of publishing your phone number on open forums only to be told by the lady to mind my own as she was fully aware of persec issues.

Unfortunately the YRF put themselves in the indefensible position of believing that as the first to react to the residents' objections they should co-ordinate the campaign. Their director took any suggestion to the contrary to be a personal attack. The more measured, multi-faceted campaign led by ARRSE is frankly inspirational and I am sure it will result in victory for the Blue Team.

Just pointing out that it says on the YRF site that she stepped down as director effective from midnight 31st March this year, and at long last just another regular on that site.

She's not the director anymore TBJ
