To all E-Goaters. Today we have a battle, we will win, either today or after the initial skirmish. What we have achieved with this and Mr Pun VC has been nothing short of staggering. The petition as I write is a tadge short of 40 thousand, which i do not believe has ever been achieved before in a 14 day period. I left the military 10 years ago and have always missed just one thing....the camaraderie. I have found that with you all. I never thought that such a band of brothers could be mobilised on a global scale. You make me proud of my heritage and i feel very very sad for the objectors on Red Team, because they have NEVER felt the sense of belonging that i feel. I have met such good people as a 'street walker' in Ashtead. If anyone needs anything in London center just get in touch. I will see those of you that are able to make it tonight. Those of you that cannot, we carry you with us in our hearts.

That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is called the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Bl00dy Estate Agents, utter scum.. Is that the best they can do - scare tactics? House price to drop by 1/5th. 'Not right for our street' PAH!!!!

Hopefully tonight the committee will see sense.

Go get 'em Tigs mate, Wish I could be there but I know you that will be will give your all.

For what its worth the small contingent of e-goaters over on this side of the globe, and a fair few native kiwis too will be keepinth their fingers crossed for tonight.

I'm sure common sense and compassion will prevail over prejudice and narrow minded bigotry.

Good luck.

Third place on the petition, WELL DONE EVERYONE!

If you have not signed, go and do it NOW!

I am off now to the meeting, will report back as soon as I can!

Tigs - you and Blue Team are doing a brilliant job getting this farce brought to the attention of the braodsheet readers - good luck for the meeting! - I'd be interested to see how many of the Red team show their hopefully humiliated faces...

Signatures: 41,061!

Greys Lane On Jeremy Vine Show On Radio 2

Greys Lane On Jeremy Vine Show On Radio 2

Apparently he's discussing this on today's show, worth a listen.

Residents have a right to have a say in these matters. Not so long ago there was a post about a fence being erected in a 'goaters shared drive followed with supportive comment about his rights etc. We shouldnt blame these folk for exercising the same rights.

Ultimately, if the application is judged to be within the regulations and byelaws then planning should be granted.

The difference between these residents and myself is that I have noticed that the objecting residents are putting forward personal views of what they think MIGHT happen and this is not based on true facts, as can be seen from observations made by the recce teams. My objection to my neighbours fence are based on true facts - ie. breach of covenants. The planning authority in my case said that they had no objection, as the fence was a permissible structure within the planning laws, and so the neighbour went ahead anyway. However, planning permission does not overrule deeds.

As an aside, I hope these objecting residents all lose limbs etc. so that they can experience what the people that they are so disgusted by have had to endure::/:

Just received a call from Pob he is down at the MVDC meeting, they have about an hour to go before the actual meeting. He wanted me to post a quick note to say there is a fantastic turnout many have turned up wearing their medals and there is a real positive atmosphere. I have told him we all have our fingers, toes and everything else crossed and are awaiting what will hopefully be the right result! Lets hope good sense prevails!!!!

Like ILLKC I have just listened to it online, and woe betide that man if he ever meets a serviceman who heard what he said on the radio, I for one would have more than a few choice words
